Ive never done DMT, but i can say 5meo is MUCH more pleasent
buzz than salvia. A little bit of the crazyness is there when its smoked, but its a much better body buzz and overall happy feeling, instead of an uncomfortable mindfuck like salvia. |

DMT is better than 5-MeO-DMT and both are a million times better than
salvia. I have a personal bias against salvia because whenever I smoke it I spend millions of years being tortured by zillions of people who all look lthe same, but it is still widely accepted that salvia is not a "useful" drug in the insightful sense. DMT is like 5-MeO-DMT with a lot more visuals, a tolerable body buzz, and more insight. Both can be VERY freaky, <!-- var SymRealOnLoad; var SymReal; Sym() { window.open = SymWinOpen; if(SymReal != null) SymReal(); } SymOnLoad() { if(SymRealOnLoad != null) SymRealOnLoad(); window.open = SymRealWinOpen; SymReal = window.; window. = Sym; } SymRealOnLoad = window.onload; window.onload = SymOnLoad; //--> |

Each person will have their own preferences for one or the other. The "experience reports" on Erowid provide a rather good idea of the spectrum of effects of n,n-DMT and 5-MeO-DMT. To compare them briefly, one could say that DMT is more fluid, VERY visual/colourful, and can sometimes induce "entity contact"; whereas 5-MeO is electric/kundalini-esque, blinding white-lightning, euphoric/"rushy" to the point of overstimulation/"orgasms", non-colourful (white and gold mostly) and more "energy-like", and doesn't induce entity contact but does sometimes create a sense of a onerous, god-like, cosmic "other" that is the Mother of All Consciousness. If you were to compare them, DMT is more like a very high dose of mushrooms, and 5-MeO is more like a plus-three ketamine trip. Both are intense and rewarding, and deserve your respect. Also, even though most of the n,n-DMT you will encounter is extracted from Mimosa, and the 5-MeO-DMT is made synthetically, they are both found in nature in both plants and animals, and both can be made synthetically in the lab as well. Remember, some people "love" Salvia and dislike DMT, some are quite fond of 5-MeO and rather dislike Salvia, some appreciate all three for different reasons, etc., etc. Each one has different effects/qualities, and the given individual using the substance as well as his/her "set-and-setting" in which the substance is consumed can have as much (if not more) influence on the subjective experience that person has as does the specific effect(s) of the particular substance itself. <!-- var SymRealOnLoad; var SymReal; Sym() { window.open = SymWinOpen; if(SymReal != null) SymReal(); } SymOnLoad() { if(SymRealOnLoad != null) SymRealOnLoad(); window.open = SymRealWinOpen; SymReal = window.; window. = Sym; } SymRealOnLoad = window.onload; window.onload = SymOnLoad; //--> <!-- var SymRealOnLoad; var SymReal; Sym() { window.open = SymWinOpen; if(SymReal != null) SymReal(); } SymOnLoad() { if(SymRealOnLoad != null) SymRealOnLoad(); window.open = SymRealWinOpen; SymReal = window.; window. = Sym; } SymRealOnLoad = window.onload; window.onload = SymOnLoad; //--> <!-- var SymRealOnLoad; var SymReal; Sym() { window.open = SymWinOpen; if(SymReal != null) SymReal(); } SymOnLoad() { if(SymRealOnLoad != null) SymRealOnLoad(); window.open = SymRealWinOpen; SymReal = window.; window. = Sym; } SymRealOnLoad = window.onload; window.onload = SymOnLoad; //--> <!-- var SymRealOnLoad; var SymReal; Sym() { window.open = SymWinOpen; if(SymReal != null) SymReal(); } SymOnLoad() { if(SymRealOnLoad != null) SymRealOnLoad(); window.open = SymRealWinOpen; SymReal = window.; window. = Sym; } SymRealOnLoad = window.onload; window.onload = SymOnLoad; //--> Edited by: Eirias |

oh yes I understand that substances affect people in different ways,
you can never tell someone that a drug will feel "exactly like this" but your summery was the best I've heard so far! I don't so much as like the trip off salvia but am more interested in the effects. I don't do it for recreation but for exploring the substance and what it does to me. from your sum up it sounds to me like I may perfer DMT to 5meo and possibly even salvia. Who knows maybee one day swim will aquire some and swim and swimgf may just try it. |

Many, many different colours, shades, hues, tones and overtones, intensities, geometrical patterns, etc., all in incredible detail. Also, to better understand the "entity contact" phenomenon associated specifically with n,n-DMT, I would highly recommend reading Gracie & Zarkov's "DMT-- How and Why to Get Off"; "Apparent Communication With Discarnate Entities Induced By DiMethylTryptamine (DMT)" by Peter Meyer (I believe he's the author, but it might be Thomas Lyttle); and any of the various writings on the subject by Terence McKenna such as "Tryptamine Hallucinogens & Consciousness". All of these can be found online, and I believe that Erowid's DMT vault has links to them all as well. <!-- var SymRealOnLoad; var SymReal; Sym() { window.open = SymWinOpen; if(SymReal != null) SymReal(); } SymOnLoad() { if(SymRealOnLoad != null) SymRealOnLoad(); window.open = SymRealWinOpen; SymReal = window.; window. = Sym; } SymRealOnLoad = window.onload; window.onload = SymOnLoad; //--> Edited by: Eirias |

Eirias, your descriptions were very accurate and enlightening. I never
thought to describe 5-MeO that way before, but it's definitely correct. Never broken all the way through on DMT, but I look forward to it. I particularly am thankful for your parallels of DMT to mushrooms and 5-MeO to ketamine because I have never done ketamine or broken through on DMT, so I have a much better perspective now ![]() |

Thanks, but keep in mind that they are all still unique
substances, and the comparisons I offered are but rough approximations.<!-- var SymRealOnLoad; var SymReal; Sym() { window.open = SymWinOpen; if(SymReal != null) SymReal(); } SymOnLoad() { if(SymRealOnLoad != null) SymRealOnLoad(); window.open = SymRealWinOpen; SymReal = window.; window. = Sym; } SymRealOnLoad = window.onload; window.onload = SymOnLoad; //--> |

swim has done Ketemine a few times but never more than a "+" maybee hit the "++" just touched it
but ketemine scares swim for some reason. He likes small doses just bumps to just feel it. Never been in a k hole the closest thing was the fist time. He snorted a line and was totally suprised by the power and intensity swim went to bed for an hour and then returned to his friends. |
