Experiences - Phenibut -- Not impressed

So SWIM ordered some phenibut powder today and took 1/3 teaspoon. No effects for 2 hours so he took another 1/4 teaspoon. Maybe an hour later developed a painful headache and a general crappy feeling. 4 hours after the 2nd dose the headache and general irritable feeling are still around.

Did he just not take enough for a recreational dose or is this stuff pretty much bunk? From the reports he read the first few experiences with this substance are supposed to be something along the lines of a long lasting ghb-like high. Bieng heavily experienced with ghb many years ago and missing it greatly, this was a huge disappointment for him. He compared this experience more along the lines of the beginning of ghb withdrawal than a ghb high.

T+8 hours after initial dosing SWIM is reporting insomnia (this is supposed to help you sleep but he can tell that is not going to happen anytime soon), and increased headache. He said he is experiencing a mild, somewhat unpleasant form of the involuntarily "yawn" associated with the aftereffects of a ghb dose. (if anyone has done a lot of ghb you know what im talking about otherwise you probably wouldnt understand) He is also sweating quite a bit. The effects arent THAT bad but they definately arent pleasent.

He has read a ton of information about this substance, although much of it has come from bodybuilding forums and such. Perhaps they just dont know what the hell a recreational drug is supposed to do to you and are blown away by extremely mild effects. He said if anything the effects from this substance are pretty much the exact opposite of what the general consensus about it is.

He heard it compared to weak benzo's frequently. There is absolutely no sedation whatsoever. No anti anxiety effects either. No mood altering effects for better or worse. Just a headache and some sweating and a mild crappy overall feeling. Perhaps he just got the dosage wrong, took either a little too much or just not enough to get high --- but given the side effects he didnt think it was a good idea to press his luck and take more to find out if this was the case.
