Other - fentanyl and drug testing

SWIM'S friend is on probation and being tested twice a week, it's the standard UK mouth swab drug test. Do any of you SWIMMERS know if these tests would give a positive if he used fentanyl?

I don't know about UK tests, but on standard american tests they only look for morphine metabolites. Plus, micrograms of fentanyl metabolites would be very hard to detect with a swab. In the clear, I'd say.

WoW...twice a week,that is very harsh.Swim dosen't know what swiLisaJ is on probation for (please tell...if its cool with swim).... But is it worth taking the Fent and can swim deal with the repercusions of failing a drug test.....ie-jail/prision time. Oneiros could be correct..he seems to be up on things.But I would reaserch the hell out of this because if you fail............things could go from a bad situation,to a even worse one.Sorry if swim sounds preachey....just want swim to be safe and continue to be around to post.

It's not SWIM who's on probation thank god, it's a friend of hers, he was doing tests no more than once a week but got tested early this week and failed. He'd only used 3 times in 4 months so was really unlucky, now they wont let him move out of hostel and are doing 2 tests a week. SWIM worries he'll get tempted to use again and would rather he used something that wont show on a test, SWIM is prescribed fentanyl.

SWIM suggests that your friend buys his own testing kits from a well known internet auction site and do a trial run. SWILisa could test herself if she has not used apart from methadone and Fentanyl as methadone shows up seperatley from morphine on the test kits.

Fentanyl will not show up on a standard american drug test... For opiates.

But the main problem is that fentanyl being extremely potent will produce an obviously on drugs apperance to who ever is taking it..

This could lead them to draw the conclusion that they are missing something and will do further test.

Swim would be shocked to find out how many people have patches all over their shoulders,back,hips and ass that you run into everyday.And swim might never suspect,or would it be obvious.But don't trust me I have never heard of Fent........................ah ummm Shanghi gal told swim that some have beat this test by having water in swims mouth......a small amount,not enough to be noticed,in the back of your mouth by your back teeth.....so that the swab picks up saliva that has been watered down...............
