Does Ritalin enhance social skills?

Swim tried Ritalin for the first time today and it definitely has alot of the positive effects that amphetamines have on his concentration and mental abilities but the one difference is Ritalin doesn't seem to enhance swims social skills nearly as much as amphetamines. Is it like that for everyone? Swim wonders what it is about amphetamines that improve your social skills that Ritalin doesn't have. Maybe its the fact that swim has only really done amphetamines recreationally and was usually drinking too.

swim tried ritaline (30mg) twice and reported he completely enjoyed the effects, even though he already had a moderate amphetamine-tolerance.

swim thinks he is suffering from social anxiety so he might respond better/different than "everyone".
Methylphenidate made him feel really confident, focussed and relaxed.
unfortunately this changed completely when the ritaline starts to wear off.
the crash felt like 50%-75% worse than amph.

maybe it was the dose. (?)

swim finds amphetamine to be more euphoric than Methylphenidate. that manic kind of high from amph. can be annoying sometimes.

swim will experiment with ritalin soon again.

Re: Does Ritalin enhance social skills?

Funny swim didn't feel any crash at all. He got hungry too once the stuff started wearing off. On meth he doesn't even feel hungry the next day. He had a bit of trouble sleeping but he found a bottle of this stuff called Rescue Remedy Sleep in his kitchen so he drank a bit of it and it knocked him out. Swim feels refreshed this morning. Doesn't have the extreme euphoria that meth has but at the same time it doesn't have the shit side effects meth does. Then again swims only done meth recreationally so its usually been in huge doses.

The ritalin made swim feel real focused relaxed but didn't make him feel confident at all. Can't have everything though. Plus swims sick at the moment that probably didn't help.

i didn't realize swiy was specifically referring to meth when talking about "amphetamines".
swim"just" does dextroamph/dl-amph on a daily basis. he hasn't' tried meth yet and basically has no intention to change that.
he's afraid it could feel just too great

so he can't compare meth and rit.
