Lucid dreaming on kratom

is it just swim, or does anyone else find it extremely easy to lucid dream on kratom?

swim had an experience yesterday where within minutes of closing his eyes his body became numb and he was fully aware, he heard a loud buzzing in his head and then imagined himself playing basketball.. soon enough, he was on a court, shooting hoops. it was very lifelike and real. usually he has a hard time reaching this state sober, has anyone else experienced this?

Re: Lucid dreaming on kratom

Sounds great. SWIM has lucid dreaming in natural states but as soon as he realises he wakes up, he is also a sleep paralysis sufferer and has been for most of his life so if he could find a way to lucid dream while having sleep paralysis then he might not wake up.

SWIM has some kratom lying about,(deveined Thia) he will try some tonight.

Re: Lucid dreaming on kratom

Yes - swim has had some most peculiar dream experiences after ingesting large quantities of kratom. One night she began having a nightmare, realized it was a nightmare, woke herself up to escape, then fell back to sleep only to find herself in the same nightmare - and this happened three times that same night! At one point she woke up enough to use the bathroom and still started having the same dream when she fell back to sleep! Strangest - and most disturbing - of all, the third time she woke herself she felt herself swing her legs off the bed, and the blanket slide off her, but was still seeing the dream rather than her actual physical surroundings! Swim has no history of sleep-walking. Swim did used to "train" for lucid dreaming, but has long since lost the knack - this was easily the strangest dream-event she has ever experienced, and she can't help but think the high dose of kratom that evening was at least partly responsible.

Oggy, unfortunately, that's the biggest obstacle with lucid dreaming--that is, once you've learned how to become lucid...

problem is, when you work so hard for something elusive, once it appears, i think you get SO EXCITED that you're actually in a dream, that goddamnit, you become aroused enough to actually wake up.

fortunately, there are solutions.
some claim that stairing at your hands will make the dream last longer...
another (better) technique is called "spinning." what you do here, is start spinning in a circle--in your dream. somehow, i think this actually involves the brain circuits that register input from your inner ear. How does spinning cause you to stay in the dream? I have no idea.
oh yeah, best way to use these is to do them simultaneously...stare at your hands WHILE spinning.

Re: Lucid dreaming on kratom

Swim Love's kratom and get's it from a vendor that sells 250x and it's ETREMELY potent and if i take .5g,i am feeling the warm fuzzies and if i take 1 g i'm on the nod big time.

As far as lucid dreaming goes, swim has had some incredible experiences while taking kratom earlier in the day, and before bedtime taking melotonin. For some reason those two in combination have givven me threshold Out of body experiences, where my body vibrates and starts to lift and once i take notice of it i come back down.

Melotonin comes from the same gland that produces endegonous dmt, which is why whenever swim smokes dmt, for the next few nights he has amazing lucid dreams.

Whether its real or not as someone else mentioned its still an amazing experience when it happens.

Re: Lucid dreaming on kratom

jmakin, what you described sounded like the "nod" opiate users get. Awake-dreaming state...

Not quite lucid dreaming though, Lucid dreaming is more like actually falling asleep and dreaming while you know your dreaming, and thus you have some kind of control over the direction of the dream

yes, swim knows what lucid dreaming is. you're right, awake-dreaming could be it.. swim's had that experience on other opiates and knows what it feels like. however, swim lucid dreams sober almost every other night, at LEAST once a week.. so it could be very easy for him to get in this state, but swim definitely knows he could have it confused with the "awake-dreaming" state. lucid dreaming, after ive had one, feels like i've actually been asleep.. this felt like i could open my eyes at any moment and it would have just been like I had my eyes closed the entire time and was drifting off in thought.

hm, never realized that. trippy.

Re: Lucid dreaming on kratom

Don't take this the wrong way, but you're all fekking nuts! Give it up for cryin' out loud, there is NO answer. In my youth I did all that 'searching' crap, through hash, opiates and mostly hallucinogens, then there was the cult dabbling - buddhism, meditation, divine light, moonies, sufies, even christianity - it's all a load of pish, but it is possible to convince yourself that whatever you choose is real, due to a combination of outward sources (brainwashing) and internal conviction (need). Now that I am in my fifties I have long ago given up the heavier shit and just enjoy the occasional light toke, having abandoned the spiritual path for one of earthbound satisfaction (compromise?). Having said all that, I still hope I am wrong, and that there really is a true meaning to our existense. Perhaps I have just missed the boat due to my overpowering cynicism.

Wikiepedia:

Anecdotal evidence of kratom helping with opiate withdrawal is widespread on the Internet, most often found in various chat forums that are either dedicated to kratom or recreational drug use in general. However, some people claim that the kratom withdrawal syndrome resembles that of opiates, only milder and shorter-lasting. Some people have mentioned mild depression following cessation of physical symptoms, and have noted that this makes quitting kratom use very difficult. The physical withdrawal symptoms most often noted are fatigue and agitation. Other opiate-like withdrawal symptoms have been mentioned (e.g. sweating, chills, diarrhea) but are apparently much milder and less common than those caused by withdrawal from opiates, if in fact they appear at all. Physical symptoms of kratom withdrawal seem to last up to four or five days.

Ooops, existence, obviously.

Re: Lucid dreaming on kratom

My ox does get very vivid dreams after kratom. It probably is more like 'nodding off' than actual lucid dreaming (not that he is sure he has ever experienced that)-- very vivid, however. Last night he remembers that he woke himself up by laughing at a joke in his dream. Someone said his names (all three) backwards which made him laugh, but even more amusing-- that wasn't really his name backwards at all! His girlfriend thought he was very silly (but then she is a silly cow, obviously).

Thats happened to me before when i've woke up laughing.

The strangest thing was back in my heroin days,my gfriend and i were asleep (not nodding off) and i woke up and we we're having sex. That was bizzare but i guess there are worse way's of waking up

Most of my lucid dreams come w/in day's or so after swim smokes the spice. The last one was simply amazing.

I was in a large cave on another planet (thats when i woke up in the dream),as i realized i was dreaming i started to jump and it was like jumping on the moon and i kept jumping higher and higher (i was light as air)then i decided to jump out of the cave and i could see the galaxy and standing outside the cave was an alien. It was a tall thin looking alien (the same type swim has encountered during spice journeys) and the alien had a smile as if greeting me and among him we're other humans and aliens as if unified and greeting me,and thats when i really woke up.It was amazing.

On high doses of kratom (like someone else said) you can "nod out" and you dram while your awake just like smoking opium but it's different than lucid dreaming.

Lucid dreaming is amazing i would love to be able to do it at will and there are techniques people use to practice it.

If your intrested in the enhancement of dreams look into silene capensis (African dream root).Certain tribes would use it to call upon the realm of the spirit and anscestors while dreaming to help answer questions about life and it can also help with dream lucidity.I recently ordered some but i havent been discipliend to take it everyday (it works over time)but the week i did take it everyday i did notice a change in the intensity of my dreams.Anyway,i'll stop rambling now but there is definately a connection between kratom and dreams and if you take melotonin before going to sleep,i've notice it enhances the effects that kratom has on dreams aswell.Peace

My ox often takes melatonin/ theanine and smokes a couple of bowls of hash after kratom to help him get to sleep, which may further explain his dreams.
