Does having amphetamine in your system spoil the crack hi?

Santa used to enjoy his crack with the best. He then stopped using it for several months but used speed quite regularly (wrapping presents) and still does. However, now, whenever he uses crack he gets very little effect if any. He's not trashed out on the speed, still gets sufficient sleep and meals. Any ideas ? Christmas is coming and he needs to get busy.
