Snorting - snorting oxys?

Swim just recently got some oxycontin 10s and was wondering how exactly to snort them? he has tried but the dissolved pill comes out of the back of his nasal cavity into his throat. is it supposed to do this or does he have to hold it in the cavity for a few minutes and not swallow at all or is it okay to do so if the pill is doing it anyway? thanks in advance for the responses.

One thing, you should make sure that it's not a generic. Some pills have a type of anti-abuse mechanism where, almost no matter what, the powder will gel up when it comes in contact with moisture. My cat has looked all over and it's very difficult to find a true way to beat the annoying gel.

On the 10's SWIM has gotten there's a little time-release coating around it- if SWIY doesn't peel this coating off before SWIY snorts it, then the effects will most likely be not as good as they would have been had SWIY removed the coating.

Oxycontin comes from the words "Oxycodone and Continuous," continuous coming from the time-release coating that makes the drug last 12 hours..sooo... make sure SWIY takes it off =D

My cat was told that it was the molecule's actual SIZE that made the drug last so long. My cat's doctor mentioned that it was very possible to have a heart attack because the molecules of the drug can stop up arteries or veins. My cat is very inclined to believe her doctor on this matter. And from my cat's experience and research, my cat doesn't think that the actual coating has all that much to do with the time release. But then again, my cat is no expert.

Your cat told you wrong. Pharmacology lesson for today: The duration of a drug's effect depends on how quickly said drug is metabolized into an inactive form by your body. A single molecule of oxycodone might stick around for about 4 hours until an enzyme strips off the methyl group from the nitrogen. The coating is what causes the effects to last so long. It is a matrix of insoluble fibers that allow the drug to trickle out slowly into your body.

The drug is water soluble, so there won't be any clogging of arteries.

these pills arent coated with a time release coating. they are watson 10mg circle white pills. swim crushed one up and i didnt see any coating on the pill at all. how long until the effets are going to be felt? and how long does swim have to keep it in his nose for? and whats the best way to get the full effects of the pill?

Hi you.
I would definitely crush them up and do them orally. You could get away with at least 2 tablets (2x120mg DFs) maybe even 3 or 4 but take care with the other stuff on top of them. Your tolerance will be quite high but coming off stuff means your system won't be at its strongest.
Take care and maybe crush just the 2.

Yeah, swim would probably steer clear. Who knows what shit is in the coating that makes them SR.

The timerelease is not because of the molecule size or because of the wax coating. It has to do with whats inside the pill im not sure if we fully understand the timerelease mechanism of brand name oxy because of patent laws but Im positive Its an internal system in the pill. For example anyone here who has sucked the wax off then swallowed the pill whole will report no difference from taking a pill whole, coating intact. Now take the wax off crush then eat it and that person would feel a quite noticeable difference. How could an outer coating keep the whole pill from dissolving when its the first thing your stomach eats away at? The logics not there.
Edit: To answer a previous question You just crush the pill you want to snort lay it out and inhale theres no need to hold anything in someones nose. Swims never experienced that much material that he could do that even when he snorted 80 mgs oxycontins, so maybe a swimmer with alot of material is sniffing oxycodone with apap. This was all for educational purposes of course I dont advise anyone doing it.
