Drug info - is minksky tripping?

minksky joined this forum in the hope of beating a 12 year addiction to codeine. she used to take 30 8/500mg per day [10 at a time] but has now cut down to 12 in one go [plus 5mg diazepam]. when the effects wear off [in the evening] she drinks beer to deal with withdrawal effects [anxiety]. she now has codeine/diazepam/alcohol problem. she was trying to stop substance abuse but has decided WTF, if she can find a way to take codeine without the risk of para od then codeine is her best friend. the question is what`s the most codeine/para combo anyone has taken and still lives to tell the tale? can anyone tell minksky in very simple terms [she`s a bit thick] how to successfully seperate codeine from paracetomol? minksky says hi

There are lots of CWE (cold water extraction) TEKS for codeine on the board, one of them is stickied at the top so look through them to get the info you speak of.
Here's a quick run down of the CWE process:

1. Crush the pills you want to extract the codeine from.
2. Mix the crushed pills with ~ 2-4ml of luke-warm water per pill.
3. Stir the mixture up till no more powder will dissolve.
4. Put the mixture in the fridge for about 20 min or so - until the water is cold.
5. Pour the mixture through a coffe filter- this removes the paracetamol.
6. Drink the filtered solution.

Yes, use the search engine. Some posts are written for those already au fait with the procedure, others are written to be as simple as possible. Taking five minutes to search through the vaults of DF may prove worthy!

Note: Just a bit of personal opinion here, but drinking beer to stave off withdrawal probably isn't Minsky's best idea. She should also be careful with Diazepam - as minsky probably knows - it is a fairly addictive and potent tranquiliser.

Agree with above, addiction is a bigger issue. But handle it how you will.

minksky says thanks for advice, minksky has been to see her dr who as prescribed citalopram for anxiety. minksky has now started to wean her self off codeine and hasn`t had a drink for 3 nights. minksky feels crap but thinks it`s side effects of citalopram and will subside soon. minksky would like to use codeine in future for recreational purposes [once a week] but as heard that citalopram blocks effects of codeine. however she will still try using CWE and hopes that 1 day a week she can enjoy her codeine.

SWIY should exercise caution mixing drugs, especially when she knows little about the interactions that could take place.

Yes, be very careful mixing different drugs. Please read up in depth about interactions. It's all here. I'd post, but rather busy at the moment.
