Effects - Pattern of circles and dots

Particularly when combined with weed, SWIM always gets the same pattern appearing over things under the influence of MDMA. Imagine those circles you click on when selecting options on a website, where there is a round empty space when it's not selected, which is filled in with an oppositely-coloured dot when it is selected (Exactly like the things you click on to select message icons when posting on this forum). Well it's like a grid of those, alternating between the empty and filled-in circles, which seems to be superimposed over whatever is in SWIM's central field of vision. A bit random I know lol but was just wondering if anyone else experiences anything similar?

It would help if people would draw a picture/s of this/any patterns they see on these substances. A comparative study would be fascinating. I know of one (incomplete) study dealing with people seeing identical pictograms that appeared to be Chinese-like in origin. And the people involved were not Asian.

So I'd ask that anyone who experiences visual imagery from entactogenics to please record them.

SWIMs art is mainly influenced by CEV's from allsorts of chems and enthos.
SWIM will try to upload some more when the computer goes at the speed it is gigabyted to go at, and not the kilobyte speed it is at now.

I'd love to know more about that! Were the patters fractal based?

Mild visuals like you describe are fairly common when MDMA is combined with cannabis, particularly at higher doses. Eddie had a really interesting experience many years back in which he saw some sort of dot/check pattern crawling all over his wife's skin.

When combining mdma crystal with a decent amount of weed Puff and his three friends all were having significant visual activity and overwhelming waves of relaxation. Puff lost all depth perception and had patterning quite unique to mdma and unlike visuals from any psychedelic he's tried. A friend reported seeing landscapes unfold before his closed eyes while listening to Shpongle.

swim seen all sorts of shit on e's could have something to do with what they been cut with but.
looking at peoples face looks like there skins crawling and wrinkling like there turning into old people for a few seconds.
seen people wearing glasses or people with beards then they just disappear (the glasses and beards that is).
when looking at a roof line looks like little fizzy bubbles are coming off the roof into the sky and popping.
sometimes like a see through pattern on front of your eyes hard to describe sort of shifts.

swim combined 2 fairly strong ones (when swim was a beginer) with a few drags and wenever swim focused on anything it was like star wars stars flying at swim but green flubbery bits instead of stars. and the posters on the walls went all monthy python with mouthes moving wildly while the faces stayed still.

yes i know exactly what your talking about.. original poster.. i call it the Grid or cheese slicer



Does that look familiar? kind of like that but with wider lined grid and everything being a little tighter.. but this optical illusion mimics mdma visuals.. sometimes it will go 3d and its like every dot is a cylinder and you can see the sides of the cylinders all poking in and out of the matrix type grid system..
i know multiple people that see it on mdma, lsd and ganja together and separate , most people i have talked to dont see it on mdma by itself.. i do most times

Yeah that's pretty much it! Weird how people get such similar visuals, wonder what causes it to be so similar between different people? One of the other guys on here (Jamal) has this picture as his avatar which probably looks more like it:

Either way, what this thread has ascertained is that MDMA + Cannabis = excellent fun!
