how long do mushrooms take to effect you?





swim has been eating some latly and not really getting anything off them

Lots of factors here:



What kind of mushrooms?

Dry/fresh?

Quantity?

How big are you?

Did you recently eat anything?

How did you eat them (chew, liquify, etc)?



If you eat before taking them, it will take them much longer to come
on, and the potency of the trip will be decreased. You may just
need to eat more though.



On an empty stomach, mushrooms will begin to take effect (for SWIM) in
15-20min (liquified). Chewing them will take a little longer.

It can vary from time to time, Swim once had some P.Semilanceata kick in after five minutes and once they waited an hour before taking effect, but phungushead is right in his estimation of 15-20 mins. It might be 30 minutes if you're chewing them, usually no longer than this.

Are you eating the mushies on an empty stomach or a full stomach? that could cause the trip to come or not come at all. Also know that eating ~30grams wet is like 3 grams dried. If your only eating a gram or two wet then your just eating the mushies for no real reason.

Normal to small dose (varied dependant on variety):

-powdered and capsulized in normal capsules:30-40 minutes

-"" "" in vegetarian capsules: 1-2 hours

Tea:15-30 minutes

On an empty stomach expect a quicker response as well as a quicker response with high doseages.

In the above scenario I am calling a small to normal dose to be .3-.8 gram of copelandia or 1.0-3.0 gram of good (like Puertos) cubensis

Your probably not taking enough, and it takes 20-1 hour on an empty stomache to kick in
