Distilling Opium

Hello All!!

SWIM has been reading and studing alot about opium and opium poppies and is thinking about growing some or alot maybe. He has read that although you don't have to, it is best that you cook the raw opium to seperate out any bugs and plant material that the raw opium may contain. SWIM has access to lab grade distillation equipment and was wandering if one could distill the opium liquid after all of the contaminates were filtered out, and if so what would he have after distillation?
