Sunrise, TV3 (NZ)
We have been talking about the effects of P for a while now, but a new problem is emerging. Six Waikato school principals have met to discuss the problem of P addicted children entering the school system. They describe kids as young as five being uncontrollably violent and unable to communicate.
It is a problem our next guest knows only too well; Dr Trecia Wouldes is a senior lecturer in clinical psychiatry at the Auckland medical school. She also heads the New Zealand end of a worldwide multi-disciplinary study into the effects of methamphetamine on young children.
She spoke to Sunrise.
