Combinations - Metronidazole & Alcohol

I know it's not a good idea to mix these both through research and a friend's experience, but does anyone know how long I should wait after finished the course before I start drinking again?

Generally a google search tends to give results of 48 hours, but I'm a bloke and I love my beer and giving it up for 7 days is hard enough when your used to at least having a few cans every other day.

You think 24 hours should suffice?

Seeing as no-one could answer this question I became a human experiment. Maybe someone will ask the same question in the future.

Took the last 200mg pill at approx 10am this morning, 7 hours later at just past 5pm I had a couple of cans of Stella at 5.2% vol. with no ill effects what so ever. So nice to get some beer down me again after the last 6 days of abstinence! :P
