Alcohol induced vomiting
last night, Swim...well, got smashed out of his mind. he and his buddies were hanging around and were getting rather bored (they were attempting to procure some MJ, but were forced to wait as their dealer was all out) so one of his buddies asked if he wanted to get drunk instead.
He's not sure exactly how much he drank (mostly just threw spirits in a cup with some cranberry juice. yum! ) but of course, a few hours into it....*runs to toilet..........BLECK!*Swim would also like to point out that he smoked his first cigarette a little less than an hour before he vomited. he supposes that might have contributed to the vomiting during the comedown. so. does Swiy know any tricks to help keep down their cookies? |

Re: Alcohol induced vomiting
just sounds like overindulgence. Does SWIY drink often? it may be that SWIY body cant tolerate alc much. it happens. regular drinking will raise tollerance.
SWIM has been drinking since he was 16 (he lives in UK) and has now come to the conclusion that alc is one of the most boring and worst drugs available. SWIM doesnt get drunk anymore. Its worse than diethyl ether. AND THATS BAD! |

Re: Alcohol induced vomiting
if it was swiys first bogie, that could very well have contributed. For swim however, who has been smoking pretty regularly for about a year, a bogie actually soothes his stomach a little, provided he doesn't take monster-drags.
But had swiy eaten recently? Because having a meal before swiy drinks actually helps your stomach because (as swim understands it) swiy digests the alcohol more slowly and evenly. But tolerance obviously has a hand in vomitting. |

Re: Alcohol induced vomiting
Sounds like a combination of two much, too quickly, and low tolerance. Knocking back spirits is one of the worst things to do.
Don't underestimate the effect of the speed of consumption though. There is a huge difference between sipping beer all evening and knocking back the voddy in some crazy drinking game, even though the amount of alcohol consumed might be comparable. I agree with Xeon that alcohol can be a nasty drug. Actually, I think that it's a pleasant drug in very small quantities, but absolutely horrible in larger amounts. |

Re: Alcohol induced vomiting
thanks for the info! Swim did drink pretty quickly (and would have drank more but his friend cut him off...thankfully.
)Swim has very little tolerance, he doesn't drink often. but he's learned his lesson: drink slowly! ![]() but feel free to continue posting methods to keep from throwing up. for example, something you can do right from the start when you know you're going to be drinking a lot, or something you can do to keep it down when throwing up seems imminent.
