Help A mate: Bad After Effects
I am not 100% sure if this is normal so I decided to make a thread.
Over the weekend a friend of a friend of mine smoked weed for the 10th time or so and has noticed a few effects. In the past the morning after being stoned my friend of a friend feels like he cannot pay attention or concentrate on anything for a few hours sometimes at most a day. This morning he told me that he still cannot concentrate or think clearly and it has been almost 2 days since he smoked. He is still getting some minor muscle twitches but thinks these are unrelated. My FOAF really wants to know more about this lack of concentration and thought and would like to know if he should stop and if others experience it. Thanks your helping a mate |

Re: Help A mate: Bad After Effects
It's pretty normal to feel that way at least the next day. SWIM has noticed he definately can't have anything in schedule for the next day. Or nowadays he can, because he is accustomed to it, but back in the days when he was new to cannabis, he had to drive to nearby town with his mom after smoking what was heavily at that time(7 joints of leaf...). He kept going from the wrong intersections and failed to find his way to a parking hall where his mom was waiting for him and got frustrated. He absolutely would've known the way when he was sober. It was hellish, no concentration whatsoever. It's easier nowadays, but it's still a reason to not smoke that much anymore.

Re: Help A mate: Bad After Effects
Yeah, don't worry about your friend being permanently damaged or anything. It wears off fairly quickly as the residual THC (tetrahydrocannabinol, the active ingredient that makes a person feel high) leaves a person's system. I had to quit pot for that reason; I'm studying to become a doctor.

Re: Help A mate: Bad After Effects
Charlie says that pot is a forgettable experience. Charlie may be biased, as far as his usage goes, but loss of concentration can better be contributed to the reality of the surrounding environment

Re: Help A mate: Bad After Effects
Swim went from smoking once a month to twice a day.
He sees how someone could have bad effects lingering when they have low tolerance. Strength of the weed has a large part in this too. Swim says not to worry, it will all pass. Swim is studying to be a doctor too. How does smoking pot interfere, out of curiosity? Swim does not even plan to cut back his large drug consumption unless drug testing presents itself. |
