Combinations - Loperamide "activation" by Verapamile

SWIM has followed the threads about Loperamide in this forum with great interest (needless to say why ) and know SWIM thinks he has found
a sure way to make Loperamide cross the BBB.

A nice person must have edited the article about Loperamide in german Wikipedia recently, because know it says there that, amongst other substances which are not mentioned, Verapamile can be used to cross the BBB.

Unfortunately it's not OTC around here, so maybe someone who is able to get hold of it could write a report. SWIM has found a site where you can mail order it but SWIM is unsure if he gets what he wants there.

Verapamil is a calcium channel blocker used to treat tachycardia and hypertension. It should not help loperamide cross the BBB, but rather will have additive calcium channel blocking effects which is part of how loperamine slows gastric motility. Translation, loperamide and verapamil with allow one to shit even denser bricks than loperamide alone, but should not facilitate an opiate high. Still it is worth a try just in case.

SWIM says, that he didn't state it correctly, because it's written there that these effects of Loperamide crossing the BBB in interaction with Veparamil have already been reported (in clinical trials as SWIM understands it).
Still it doesn't have to be true since it's wikipedia, but SWIM finds the possibillity very tempting and says that he will definetly try it out.

If Swim had the two lying around his house, he would try too.

Swim also has some other things he found about through research he plans to mix with loperamide to try and get it over the BBB too.

Swim doubts he will get any effect though, really, other than perhaps CNS depression.
