Drug info - Halcion (Triazolam)

So I was wondering if anyone had experiance with halcion/triazolam, and
what they thought of it. I have been taking it for around a year, 1-4 times
a week, just to sleep. I took it a few times early, when I was really
stressed or bored out of my gourd, but it wasnt all that.

Also I was wondering if anyone knew if cross-tolerance on gaba- a
agonists would incresse risks of addiction? say if you were using some
benzos some niughts, phenibut some nights and ghb other nights.

Triazolam is a very strong triazolobenzodiazapine with hypnotic properties primarily used in the treating of extreme sleep disorders.


doses come in rectangular flat wafers of either 125 or 250 micrograms


a FoFoF was schizophrenic, so a FoF was able to get his hands on a good supply of these. they can be likened to xanax and ambien, the feeling of xanax, with the odd visual and empathogenic qualaties of ambien.


its not uncommon for someone to see flowing movements and colors along the ceilings and walls while on a dose higher than 250 micrograms.

Hrm......never experienced any visual effects form
triazolam, have taken
up to .5mg with only heavy sedation, partial blackout and hangover the
nextday( groggyness, hardtime getting out of bed,). I stick to using them
as directed. but they are nice to have around, very good for your bouts of

Halcion --- Very dangerous stuff! My X used to take these to sleep but
if she didn't hit the bed right away there was no telling what would
happen! Up all night rearanging the apartment; on the phone for hours.
Next day; total blackout; no memory of anything.

And another warning from the author Philip Roth in his book "Operation
Shylock: A Confessional", Simon and Schuster, 1993; in which he relates
his total mental breakdown due to using Halcion for sleep. Very scary!
Apparently several european countries have baned the drug for these
kinds of problems.

yeah, theyre a bluesheet, scriptheads will know what Im saying. I rather enjoy them myself. and they are great for when you cant sleep, but they also have other effects which can be very nice. a friend of mine used to eat them to chase away his shakes (he was a heroin addict) all benzodiazapines seem to have the ability to cause short term bouts of insanity lmao.

once i took a full 1mg of halcion (1000ug) and drank the equivalent of a 1/4 pint of 80 proof liquor. later that night i shot upone pack of smack for the first time, before only snorting. before the H i was fucked up from the Halcion and alcohol alot, and actually had my mom and dad visiting at my apartment (I'm 20 yrs) as well as my girl's mom.i felt incredible, and there is probally stuff i don't remember.

Swim recently obtained some halcion, but swim was wondering if one pilll will do anything.

in swim's experience, .25 mg of halcion, or whatever the standard dosage is, was sufficient to produce the classic benzo high. swim felt very tired, goofy, and lazy. he was able to come up with many humorous phrases that he didnt remember the next day (luckily swim's friends did!)he wanted to do very little but sit and hang out, and had a fair bit of euphoria as well. he was awake for about 2-3 hours after ingestion, and slept extremely well afterwards. so find the dosage out first, but .25 mg should be enough to produce an effect.

WEll swim toook it and it felt almost like an opiate high only less intense. swim may tray it again.

yes, swim found a definite giddy component to the halcion experience as well that he did not find in other benzos. swiy should post a report on it if he/she tries it again!

SWIM would have to agree that he experienced more euphoria with Halcion, or thats how he recalls it. He's only had it a few times but for whatever reason it felt more recreational than the other common benzo's.

I have only rarely seen Halcion prescribed... I wonder if it's just doctors preference or maybe at the time SWIM got some, the pharm company was pushing it like they often do.
Too bad it's not more readily available...

But sometimes when I take it and stay awake I trip balls at night and have crazy hallucinations.

I tried dissolving a 0.25mg under my tongue. Big mistake. It was incredibly bitter very much unlike Ativan or Klonopin.

Is triazolam bitter or are they adding bitterant to pills?

Triazolam is nothing else than Alprazolam with an chlorine ion attached to the phenyle group,
which dramatically potentiates sedative and retrograde amnesia. SWIM would use this for
better sleep, only...
