sleep deprivation

Side Note: Sorry for such a long post haha
So Swim been doing my own reasearch in the effects of no sleep on Swim's body. So far Swim is been awake for around 33-34 hours. And feels slightly tired, Its harder for Swim to concentrate. And Swim eyes are slightly unfocusing. So Swim wanted to know if anyone here with all of your infinite knowledge should tell Swim something. Such as very possible risks. But don't get Swim wrong this isent smomething he does offen. Swim is:
16 Years old
257 pounds
Avarage Blood Pressure of 120/70 *Swim heard it might effect his heart.
Swim has never done this before (he has said he would but lost motivation mid way through)
Swim has heard of some of the expected traits:
Loss of concentration (been there done that)
Blurred vision (sound familiar?)
Hallucinations: Swim needs people experience on what the hallucinations are like. Are they similar to Dyphoric Diphenhydramine, or something closer to schrooms euphoria (Swim aint holding his breath)

And the most interesting one's Swim believes
-Large increase of creativity (can anyone tell swim if this holds true?)
-Increase in Senses.
-Derealization (Swim is curious about the attributes of this ailment)

And things Swim plans on acting like a (you need to sleep now) button such as
-Incoherent speech (sometimes referred to as salad words)
-Dark circles under the eyes
-Delirium (Swim has no desire for this after diphenhydramine haha)
and
-Clinical Depression (Some people say it cures depression others say it causes it so Swim is not sure any information is welcome!)
-Fainting (Ya thats a *Stop now* kinda sign)

If anyone can help Swim by shedding some know how possibly from experience or just a really smart person who is fluent in the working of the mind Etc.. Really any information helps. If Swiy knows of any information that is already up there don't hesititate to post it. It mearly confirms Swim beliefs on the matters. Although swim knows that no sleep in fairly bad for you he sees no harm in a 1 time thing. as stated in the prefix this is merely research. Swim quite enjoys sleep haha. Also if someone thinks this can be a serious danger to Swims health (Plan on a 49 hour plan) Waiting 1 hour after 48 to examine effects of 2 full days of no sleep. But if anyone thinks this can be very dangourous it would be nice if they could inform swim ASAP on the matter so he can press the stop button. Swim thanks all of you who shed some know how :]

Will no one even Look at my post?

Re: sleep deprivation

Swim has experimented mildly with sleep deprivation but has stopped after around 2 days because of dark circles under eyes, eyes feeling like they have knives in them, and no general motivation to continue because of unrelenting tiredness. SWIM hasn't had much experience with the effects of sleep deprivation after those 2 days.

Swim also has friends that have gone 3-4 days without sleep as tasks for lets just say a "club." Some have told SWIM that they had mild hallucinations like seeing big spiders in the corners of walls and people passing by them that have forced them to double-take only to realize no one was there in the first place. After hearing this, SWIM concluded that the effects they incurred were very similar to when SWIM experimented with doses of Benadryl around 400-500 mg. Another friend of SWIM told him that he heard voices that scared the shit out of him and gave him feelings on helplessness. Overall, SWIM's friends ended their experiments with sleep deprivation when their bodies gave out on them around the 3-4 day mark and they passed out.

Re: sleep deprivation

That is odd as swim have heard that although some people have said it was the same others have said it was more of a spiritual experience. Actually priests of old use to actually deprive them selfs of sleep in hopes of getting visions. Thank Swiy for swim for the information. Does anyone else have any more information about this. Swim does not plan on going any longer then 48 hours seeing as swim loves to sleep and this is nothing more then an controlled experiment.

Re: sleep deprivation

if you want to know what it's like to not sleep for a while, check out the delireants. Pop a bunch of dyphenhydramines, and you'll see. Around 250mg would be like not sleeping for 2-3 days. Basicly if you want one day of no sleep, 100mg. 2 days, 200mg etc.

Re: sleep deprivation

Delirium is not something that people generally seek out. At least not more than once.

I've attempted sleep dep. before. Never got past 2 days. Swim could probably go for a few more days with drugs in the mix, but it would be bad.

Can anyone say delirium + tweaking/meth comedown? Bad idea.

Typo? Under 18 not allowed.... but to your question anyway... After extended periods possible delirium, no euphoria is likely. Probably not GOOD for the body but a person isn't likely to die from staying up for 4 days or even slightly more, back in highschool i've known kids who did that for personal experimentation. They eventually just passed out in the middle of talking/walking and got pretty bruised, they never felt anything fun from what i was told... anyway hope you work out the whole Age thing...

Re: sleep deprivation

I did 72 hours and have experimented with this a lot, after said 72 hours I went into complete mental breakdown although this could be put own to extremely large caffeine dose (eight cups of strong black coffee within a couple of hours). Hallucinations were as stated mere double takes and irrational suspicion of inanimate objects. The breakdown actually occured whilst playing Halo 3, whenever I got shot it felt like I was dying. My brain went into panic mode and major sleep paralysis followed for around half an hour. Short bouts of intense anxiety attacks were frequent during this sleep paralysis stage and it was not fun.
Not the colourful hallucinations I was expecting and you were no doubt hoping for eh.

Re: sleep deprivation

Swim went 78 hours once. The only way to explain the way Swim ended up was dreaming whilst awake. It was like being on Acid without the pleasantness or feeling of being anywhere near in control.
The best analogy is Swim was asleep despite being physically awake. Fucking scary shit.

Re: sleep deprivation

The longest SWIM has stayed up is three days/nights straight. SWIM was horribly depressed and that's why. But what it did for SWIM was make her extremely paranoid and give people mean looks and not even know it. SWIM's one eye was squinting and the other was wide open. SWIM looked like a drug addict! I know when SWIM is manic (SWIM is bipolar) and SWIM doesn't sleep much, she gets even more manic and it feels amazing, but IDK if SWIY are bipolar.
