Health Affects of Heavy Binge

Hi,

SWIM is new to this forum and looking for some advise on behalf of SWIM's friend.

On Thursday SWIM's friend purchased a 5 gram MDMA crystal. On Thursday SWIM and his Friend tried out the Crystal. SWIM has just over a gram over the course of the night! SWIM is an experienced user and has a high tolerance. SWIM did not really enjoy the MDMA, through personal preference. The come up was very hard and intense, no significant loved up feeling etc.. however this could be through significant use in the past 7 months. Very sociable and chatty, clean roll, eating Chocolate bars, banana's and alot of sweets. Not the best MDMA SWIM has ever experience however up there. Swim simply prefers Pills and enjoys a dirty roll a lot more.

SWIM's friend has not dropped that much in his lifetime, maybe 5/6 times. SWIM's friend had around the same as SWIM over the course of the night and felt the full effects. SWIMS thinks that he took to much and remembers his friend looking very under the influence, rolling face etc..., very loved up.

SWIM's friend at the weekend went to a music festival and foolishly finished off the 5g crystal. This meant SWIMs friend had just under 4g to himself over the course of 2 1/2 days only ever taking MDMA 5/6 times.

SWIM's friend smoked a bit of Cannabis, did 5 tablets, which have MDMA in them (Atoms), did Cocaine, Laughing Gas and drank alot of beer over the weekend.

SWIN's friend is now blacking out throughout the day.

SWIM is concerned with his friend blacking out. Does anyone know is this could be serious! I have never heard of this before.

Thank you.

Stewart239 added 81 Minutes and 34 Seconds later...

To clarify SWIM knows that 4g of MDMA + 5 pills over the course of 3 days is alot! This is however what SWIMS friend has had. SWIM's friends MDMA weighed in exact as well! SWIM is obviously very worried. SWIMs friend has seeked medical attention, however did not metion excessive drug usuage.

SWIM had a bad comedown for a couple of days from his one night using the MDMA, however is now very happy, clear head and back to work with no real problem. SWIM can remember his friend sleeping for three hours in this time he was spasaming.

Could there be long term health problems here?

Thank you x

Re: Health Affects of Heavy Binge

Could you describe the blackouts in more detail?
Is there a loss of conciousness?
Pain?

SWIF has experienced a relatively similar phenomenon when doing MDMA in a normal dosage followed by an excess of cocaine. But it did clear up in roughly around 2 weeks. Often things like this are the result of ones body telling him to rest and calm down and are rarely serious. That said the amount of drugs your friend consumed is an inordanate amount, far beyond toxic dosages of even half a gram a day. THe best advice would be to tell a doctor and come clean about the drug use, it's all confidential anyway so the police wont be involved but time will tell. GIve it a week or two and if it's still happening then definately seek assistance.

Re: Health Affects of Heavy Binge

Hi,

SWIMs friend says he feels his temple pulsate and then looses consciousness for a few seconds there is no pain.

SWIM is very concerned about his friend, as SWIMs friend failed to mention drug usuage to the doctor and purely because of the excessive amounts taken.

SWIM is sure that the crystal was MDMA due to the feeling SWIMs friend got from it as well as another friend who tried some.

Thank you.

Re: Health Affects of Heavy Binge

It does sound similar to what SWIF experienced, how long has he been experiencing these blackouts? Are they getting less frequent or less intense?

Lots of vitamins, water and a good diet for the next couple of weeks and in particular no more drugs until this subsides.

Re: Health Affects of Heavy Binge

SWIM's friend has been experiencing them since stopping taking drugs on Sunday night. Therefore Monday onwards. When SWIM spoke to his friend yesterday he said they had been happening all day and very frequent, however he didn't feel as bad yesterday night as he had done. SWIM is not sure on how his friend is feeling today as SWIMs friend is not answering his phone.

SWIM's friend is carrying on to smoke weed and has been going into work as usual, even though admitting he is unable to work, therefore not really getting much sleep or rest. SWIMs friend does not have a good diet or vitamin intake.

Thank you.

Re: Health Affects of Heavy Binge

your friend needs to take care of his physical self and he will recover with time.

doing that much MDMA if it was even MDMA there are many compounds that can have very similar effects or combinations of compounds, is not healthy. it will deplete your brain of much needed neurotransmitters. but he will most likely recover but only if he stops using such drugs for a significant period of time.

Re: Health Affects of Heavy Binge

If SWIM is suffering blackouts as described, he/she should contact their physician at once. And suggest a neurological work-up to find the cause of this. It could be a serious problem that popped-up from the results of excessive CNS stimulation from the amphetamine. Don't delay, SWIM.

Sounds more like loss of magic due to repeated heavy use to me. The speedy amphetamine effects seem to be more prevalent with heavy use.

Back to the original post. SWIM would tell the Doctor about the heavy drug use... when it comes to things as serious as your health it's sometime better to bite the bullet and be honest so they know exactly what they are dealing with.

Re: Health Affects of Heavy Binge

SWIM would agree with komodo. SWIM also experiances the amph efects a lot more with heavy use, and usually there is no loved up feeling. SWIM also agrees with telling the doc about the use, dont mess with youre health, it is THE most important thing you have.
SWIM would abviously recomend to live healthy, establish a healthy sleeping rythem i.e. go to bed at 10pm and wake uo at 8 am. This is to bring order back to his life, causing him to feel more secure. Also leave the drugs (including weed and alcohol) Drugs are bad mhkay.

Hope he gets well soon.
