Oral use - DF118 Dihydrocodeine 120mg SR/ER/MR

Hi everyone,
Swim was a very tolerant recreational opiate user but managed to go cold turkey and kick it with a view to lowering my tolerance.
Swims drug of choice was and is DF118 Dihydrocodeine 30mg.
Now swim has the opportunity to buy some DF118 Dihydrocodeine 120 mg SR sustained release, something swim has never taken before.
Swims question is a simple one. Is it ok to crush them up & take them orally to achieve the effects like normal DHC? Does crushing mean the sustained release is not sustained any longer, but immediate as with normal dhc?

120mg SR when crushed is the same as 4xIR, But for some reason swim likes 2x60ms SR better then 4x30mg IR.

Not crushed 2x60mg SR ! As that would be the same as 4x30mg !
