Opinions - where did swim go wrong?

swim found some poppys growing in someones garden with pink fading into purple flowers, a few days later they picked a big bunch of them about 15 or so because the flowers had droped off. they did not think till after this may of been from heavy rain fall the night befor. they had been reading this forum for a few days to see what to do but it has gone wrong.

anyway they took them home and cut them to bleed how ever they soon realised with most of them they had cut to deep. and to many times. the latex they got wasnot enough to do anything with! so they left them over night to see if any more would bleed it did not.

so they cut up the heads keept the seeds from the good pods they had not cut threw. but the others that where latex coverd whent into a glass jar with poppy straw and heads, hot water at 70 was coverd over and aloud to soak for a while they added some citric acid but there electric ph meater was playing up and the local shop was closed so they could not get any litimus papers. they drained off the water after 1.30hr's strained into a container then again put some more warm water over plant material but not as much second time round and for about another 45 mins.

they collected the brownish liquid together and put in a pan to simmer down! it did acidently reach almost boiling point for about 5 min when swim fogot about it did they boil the good stuff away. they then filtered this again but it still look like it had some small plant bits in but not much. they poured the liquid into two pirex lids and into the oven at 60 the lowest there oven alows. it took about 6 hrs for water to evaperate away leaving lots of brown sticky goo!, which they recognised as opium they had had in the far east. they tryed to smoke this it did nothing for them though they are opiate tollerent and on methadone daily.

they read another gide which says to alow the evaporate soulution to go slightly cristerline, so swim put it back in the oven and it dryed out rock hard and they scraped it up which took time and alot of effot. they collected a no of grams and proceded to smoke on foil it melted and burnt very quickly giving of sweet tasting but harsh smoke. swim decided to smoke less at one go which gave more smoke but they did not fell any diffirent after exscept they got a very sore throught and there tounge was stinging and burning. not good. they keeped most of it in a dry place incase it could be saved. but it has now gone very gooe again after a few days from being semi hard like a chewed toffee. they disposed by wasing off the rest which had dryed hard to pirex lid's swim thinks they could of keept this water and redryed. but had been at it for two days. and could not be botherd.

anyone got any ideas from swiy or fof's, as to why they cant get high or what went wrong as there is still a number to be harvested about 60 in total also swim has noticed since one or two still have flowers and belives they should wait a week or two after flowers come off befor harvisting and till the crowns are pointing more up wards, pluss we have had lots of rain of late will this corse problems with harvisting? also because of were they are swim is taking them from outside to there house and puting them in some water till there cut is this right? they have sorted there cuting tek. swim thinks it may be easyer to go buy h even though its the o buzz they realy want. swim would apreciate the help.
