Failed drug test after 6 weeks of abstinence from marijuana
SWIMs friend quit smoking 6 weeks prior to taking a drug test. It was a 6 panel if he recalls correctly. It tested for Amphetamines, cocaine, Benzos, PCP, Opiates, and THC.
All drugs came up negative except for THC! SWIMS friend hadn't smoked in 6 weeks. This person is not big and has been fairly active. He was very surprised, to say the least. They told him it would be sent off to the lab, and there is a chance that the amount was so small that it will be below the cutoff, and thus considered a negative test. SWIMs friend has a friend who failed a drug test for THC, and his sample was sent to the lab, and it came back negative. So SWIM guesses things like this do happen from time to time.
SWIM always hears people talk about how they have passed after only a few days of being sober. Lucky bastards.
This is just a warning to everyone. There is no way to tell how long it will take a drug to get out of your system. You might be surprised, and surprises are not good in situations like these.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this? 6 weeks is a long time. SWIMs friend thought it was a false positive or something. He has been around pot, but seriously doubts that has anything to do with it. Wish him luck. Perhaps the confirmation test will show that the amount is below the cutoff.
Just stay safe and smart. If you are going to have a drugtest, SWIMs friend would recommend you quit smoking weed as soon as possible.
Don't play with fire, you will eventually get burned.
