Ether
Swim noticed that 'damp start' products that one sprays into their air intake for, well, starting one's car when it is damp smells like ether. The ingredients on the back say diethyl ether. For those who have raised concerns about sourcing such a useful chemical, you may want to buy some damp start in case you car needs, well, damp starting this coming winter.
For uses other than directed, please remeber that ether is extremely dangerous with an explosive, heavy vapour that loves creeping around the house/lab looking for sources of ignition - such as sparks caused by refrigerator compressor pumps.
Swim did observe that good Richard Prior freebase can be made from this. But swim has had a bad few months lately.
On an earlier note, swim loves the Richard Prior more than crack. It is easier to make and nicer to smoke.
Swim has had some difficulties with this product though. Being fond of experiments and enjoying pushing things to their limit swim had no problems getting addicted to this shit. Eight months later (minus a house, wife and car) swim is now able to put this all behind him.
Think carefully before attempting the Richard Prior method! It's a great lover but and unforgiving master.
