Mosquitoes and drugs
So once when SWIM had ingested a mystery blotter (bitter, unknown substance), he was high for at least 12 hours and at a cottage, and he found that the mosquitoes didn't bother him! Anyone suppose the mosquitoes knew there was something not quite right in SWIM's blood and so they choose to avoid it? Mosquitoes were around. He tried to sleep in a room with at least one or two present.

Any similar experiences of mosquitoes avoiding SWIY whilst under the influence and reason to believe the substance may have repelled the beasts?

Unknown persons have noticed similar after drinking lots of beer (not vodka though) and another time after eating mushies.

Old friend of mine swears that eating a raw lemon will deter mosquitoes. I tried this and it did seem to work. The usual North-Country stuff is called Old Woodman's Fly-Dope. I swear that stuff is dope, and it gives 'em the munchies. They keep coming...<slap!>

Come to think of it. Spongebob was out camping with his friends recently and of course there was a lot of booze consumption. Spongebob did wonder why he didn't get bitten by any mosquitoes.
Could it be because of the booze? Or the fact that there are no mosquitoes in a tropical rainforest?

SwiM's hairless rat noticed that alcohol seems to deter mosquitoes but pot doesn't. She doesn't know for other compounds. However it could be that people jes don't notice them as much.
