Yeah sometimes i get depressed and pissed irritable and sometimes even cry, but you get used to it and know what to expect. Then after about the second day you dont really care if your high or not or i mean thats me anyways. but sometimes i have times were i just have to get high and those times are great its like I apprecaite it alot more sometimes i just quit to see if i can, depression is one main factor i have when quiting but after a couple days its all good for me, anyways hope i helped peace.

I think there is a withdrawal. I get irratable and edgy, cranky. I don't know if I'm like that normally, maybe a little. It gets worse without it.

I Def find it a little difficult to get off but it is def a mental thing, sometimes i feel a bit jumpy for a while but it passes relatively quickly. I too sometimes like to give up just to see if i can, i'm involved in clinical trials so that requires me to give up for 4 weeks at a time. I truely think it does you good to stop for a while as well as you appreciate the weed so much more afterwards (and you need less to get high). I know people thinkthat mj is harmless but at the end of the day its still a drug.

The drug itself is harmless, what isnt harmless is how people chose to
abuse it, having a break every now and then really works wonders for
your mind and only serves to make you enjoy it the next time you smoke!

Just respect it and you cant go far wrong

I've noticed it to a small degree; however the only negative is that sometimes I notice my appetite is pretty small. I have never felt irritable or anything, infact it kinda clears out my head if I cut back to once a day or stop for a few days. I have hardly smoked at all the last 4 or 5 days, and I feel fine, except for I notice that I can't keep my mind of her (the dank) sometimes.

SWIM just finished a week off, and for the first few days he was more
irritable and edgy, as others mentioned. Also, he had an upset
stomach for a few days, and craved a joint every once in a while.
It wasn't horrible, but it noticeable.

SWIM has noticed some slight withdrawal symptoms from quitting
multi-daily use. Sleep becomes hard the first couple days which
isn;t suprising. Swim's appetite also lessens for a couple
days. SWIM also notices he seems much more bored and unable to
concentrate.

To Shabana- What you described does not sound like it has much to do
with marijuana. SWIM has never seen anyone become violent from
using marijuana. Please think harder before sending your kid off
to some institution for marijuana use.

The only marijuana withdrawl</span>
that i feel, is just being really tired, and having a bit of trouble
concentrating... sort of like being burnt out, but without the sort of
enjoyable happiness that a long day of partying brings. I hope that
made SOME sense, considering im burnt out right now

Shabana Vasi-</span> I dont think your child is only on marijuana...
most violent reactions to drugs are caused by more serious drugs then
just pot. My advice is to sit down with him and see what he is really
on. Make sure you are calm about it, and tell him you wont punish him
for being on drugs. And dont send him away just for something like
that, all that does it make their life more stressful and irritating,
and maybe even reasult in suicide. Get help, but dont just ship your
kid away because your fed up with his shit. You can get through that.

Message me if you want to talk more about this subject... a friend of
mine and his father are in a very similar situation, so i may be of
some help.

Peace.

i quit marijuana for 16 monthsafter smoking it everyday for around 3 years...wasn't a casual user either...i'm talking about buying half ounces whenever i had the $50 (miss those prices)

the whole time I quit Irarely got to sleep before 4AM even if I need to wake up at 6AM (ineed smoke before I sleep else my mind will not calm down)...2 months into my quitting i'd wake up and everything around me would smell like weed for the entire day sometimes...after around 3 months i stopped being cranky and smelling pot all over but then after 12 months I started to crave pot extremely bad again. it wasn't the same craving that I used to have though...it was like I wanted it really really bad but I was ok with not getting it (even though i could have)

now i'm back to being a daily user and in a much better mood (and have a more successfull life) all the time

I've noticed that if I smoke several days in a row, then quit, it takes
me longer to get to sleep for a few days. Other than that I never
experience any negative effects.

To Shabana Vasi: I feel sorry for your son'sproblem, but marijuana might not be the cause of it.

I would sincerely reccommend you to visit a psychiatrist and get aprofessional diagnose. I would even go to several specialists and not rely on one doctor's opinion. Sometimes doctors tend torelate the patients' problemto drug abuse only because its easier for them. Its true that mairjuana may make his situation worse, however, it may hardly be the main reason of his behavior.Your son might have anxiety attacks and propermedication could help him, may bethere will be no needto hospitalise him.

Take care,
