favorite cartridge?

My rat is a big fan of the PureWhip brand... most importantly cleaner, and medical grade n20, and secondly affordable.

My rat went through 2 boxes and noticed NO machine oil in his "dispenser", his pies were intense, and tasted sweet... a sign of good propellant... he got bored quick of just one cartridge and started using two... his pies were sending him into oblivion, where nothing made much sense, and when he came back he often forgot where he was and what was going on for a few moments. He would compare his pies to PCP or even LSD at times.

Out of interest has SWIM a source for his info that pure whip are still medical grade? They were advertised as such a few years ago but this advertisement was dropped and SWIM is sure he was told somewhere that the company had changed hands or management or something. SWIM is not trying to be critical just genuinely interested to find if the cartridges still do contain medical grade gas.

Maybe im wrong but isnt all nitrous that is used in the food catering business medical grade anyway, i thought there was no actual differance in purity it was merely a gimmic.

Hmm interesting thought. SWIM is sure he read from other reputable sites that there was a difference they even gave the minimum % of pure nitrous oxide to qualify for each grade.

The site that used to advertise Purewhip cartridges as "medical grade" now advertise them as " high quality ", This change in advertising occurred at the same time as the site advertised "Manufactured under strict guidance from the Liss factory" "(their) cream charges are now a standard of quality and reliability"

SWIM can see reasons why, though cant really believe the "medical grade" advertisement would have been dropped unless the contents had changed, and with the added advertisement about Liss drew the conclusion that purewhip had been taken over by their competitor. SWIM has emailed them and will post any response he receives

In a blind 'taste teste', can anyone tell the difference beween different cartridges? Is it possible to discern quality premium gas from inferior bilge spew?

SWIM can definitely taste the difference between PureWhip, and EZ whip... can feel the difference.

Can SWIM discuss the source through private messages?

Purewhip cartridges it seems are still advertised as medical grade in America but not in Europe. SWIM would guess under the purewhip brand they must all conform to the same quality and so must all still be medical.

SWIM has 48 8g ISIs she had left over from a party. They added a nice vanilla flavor to the icing, and after going through 100 chargers, very little muck was left behind, though there was a slight amount. SWIM enjoyed the taste of the whipped up goodies!

swim has always used bestwhip, he started off with 8g cartridges but then got the 16g ones and would never go back to the 8g ones.

I didnt think there was a difference at first, but now you mention it, SWIM recently bought some purewhips and SWIM can feel the difference, SWIM only bought purewhip because it was fairly cheap, but from now on SWIM shall only buy them!

Up until recently, SWIM would routinely take a trip to the local headshop and pickup a few boxes of EZWhips. After getting tired of overpaying and driving out of state, he/she ordered Purewhips online because of the price and free shipping.

SWIM's leprechaun realized that they are much cleaner, taste nicer, and actually contain more n20 (8.5g as compared to 8 with ezwhip). Will never go back! One does wonder if the 16g chargers would be more convenient, although SWIY doesn't really get anymore bang for the buck by going with the larger chargers.

SWIM prefers ISI because it tends not to gunk up the pin in her contraption as bad as some others. She says there is nothing worse then trying to locate a needle to declog the pin when she can not see past the colors.

SWIM would have to agree with the XXX refined being the highest quality. SWIM's pet gorilla realized that the purewhips are very good, however sometimes he noticed that the chargers themselves would have defects in them, a botched paint finish or slightly defective metal casting. Almost as if the manufacturing process had rejects make it in to the final count. The XXX chargers are of very high quality construction, very uniform, and NO discernible taste that he can tell.

So let me get a couple things straight. Are Purewhip chargers indeed 8.5g? If so, would that extra .5g explode my garbageman's .25L Isi whipped cream dispenser?

Also, is XXX Platinum really as good quality or better than Purewhip? Better in terms of purity and lack of residue?

Snuffkin has no way to tell how much more gas the Purewhip cartridges have in them, but did think they contained slightly more thank other brands. (Can’t comment on XXX Platinum as Snuffkin and co had never tried them.)
The small amount of extra gas Purewhip chargers may contain should not cause any problems with a .25l dispenser, after all the dispensers are designed specifically to be able to hold that pressure while already full of cream. ISI is also a quality brand of gass cartridges and dispenser's so Snuffkin would not think SWIddage had any need to worry.

SWIM has found that the Bestwhip brand chargers seems to always have several out of each box that her .25 ltr canister will not crack open so she has to use her 1 ltr ISI canister with the larger tougher pin. The top of the charger will look as if its been used but there is still gas in the charge.

FYI if you need to tell if a charge is "dead" like in a darkened room just suck on the end and if it has been cracked it will create a vacume and it will suction to the end of you tongue. It's amazing how many good charges end up running around at the end of the night.

Thanks for the info, Geez. My garbageman is flip-flopping between Purewhip and XXX only because he can get XXX for cheaper and read on this board that they're as good as or better in quality than Purewhips. He still has a hard time believing this, however, based on the packaging. Purewhip's generic medical-looking label vs. XXX's scantily clad ladies. But if XXX was created solely with recreational use in mind, he'd hope it was medical grade as well. Triple refined? Who knows what that really means, right? He'd just like a definitive answer on this if it's out there.

Now that I read the description more closely on E-bay, XXX chargers are described as "food grade." That would be lesser quality than Purewhip's "medical grade," correct? Perhaps my garbageman is just splitting hairs here, I dunno.
