Oral use - a pleasant sublingual experience

Hi.

SWIM takes Adderall XR daily as per prescription, but on occasion he will alter usage and delivery.

First: SWIM apparently has some strange body chemistry, because the conventional wisdom of delivery and effect don't always apply to him. For instance: Crushed XR has drastically weaker effect than normal XR, in every way. 15mg of XR finely crushed and reinserted (and SWIM powderizes nicely) will not have even the quality initial kick of 15mg unaltered XR. The crushed at most will give a quick, tweaky burst for 30 mins, and then be fairly weak before it dies in less than two hours. Powdered with water does about the same: give a quick, weak hit for an hour or so, and on occasion will do nearly nothing (or if used as a bump, may help barely maintain). The difference is so much that when taking a "bump," he would rather take 5mgs of unaltered XR than 10mg powdered. He knows this defies accepted logic, but his experience remains.

SWIM is familiar with all the physical preparations to ensure efficient absorption, so that isn't the issue. Recently he wasted 75mgs, beginning with one 20mg, then spread out in +/- 10mg doses over 6 hours, experimenting with the powdered/liquid approach, and didn't even get the effect he would have gotten while peaking on a single 15mg xr. His heart rate is still high while on it, so it's having a purely physical effect, but that's all)

When it all wore off, he sat defeated. Then he decided he would try powderizing a pill and doing it sub-lingual, which he had never done. He crushed up a 15mg xr, and just to test, put about a third of it under his togue; about 5mgs give or take.

Within 5 minutes he had a wonderful buzz. Not tweaky, but that perfect kind of euphoric Adderall buzz; stronger and nicer than any form other than the initial kick of a full 15mg xr, and close to even that.

Now, going by the XR mechanics laid out in a very well written post in another thread here, doing it sublingual would only get an instant release of two of the stimulants, since the others, even uncoated, take a few hours to take effect. So he just held it under his tongue for about 10mins, then swallowed the rest with water to go on it's merry, timed way. OR, if he just wants a couple hours of it, and doesn't want it kicking in later (sleep), he let's it absorb under his tongue until it hits, then waits a minute or so and rinse and spit out the rest.

It needs more study, but so far he is very happy with sublingual results. It provides a super fast (could feel it start under a minute) very pleasant, 1-1/2 hour high, and then the rest can be swallowed. It allows a large amount of control, since he can just do small bumps with reliable effects. It also bypasses any of the stomach acid/food issues. Tonight he did it right after a good sized meal, with nice results, and it was quite nice to not have to be starving himself for hours to ensure the effect.

Sorry this was long, Adderall makes Smile tell his experiences in detail. Smile would be interested in any other accounts of this, or any folks willing to try and report about it.

Swim is not sure why swiy finds XR beads time release mechanism to be superior to all the salts at once other than a longer experience but swiy states the "kick" is better??? For swim it is the exact opposite, as he prefers IR form of the drug!!! Preffered for recreation that is, as for a long study or similar situation swim would PROBABLY? take the XR???

Swim actually just today had an appointment with his suboxone dr. to get refills for his Klonazepam and Suboxone and told the dr his ADD/ADHD was really, really making it HARD for swim to get to work!!! His dr Rx'ed swim 30mgs a day of adderall,,, 20mgs in the morning and 10mgs around noon. Swim thinks this will help him GREATLY with his work habits as he has taken adderall in the past experimenting ADD/ADHD treatment!!! Swim was diagnosed with ADHD at 16 years old but never was put on any type of ADD drug so at 20yrs old he received his first RX for his ADHD! Him and his dr. planned to try some stimulant-type ADD drug for the future but wanted to handle addiction and anxiety problems first! So now 4 months clean he has a script for his ADHD and is enjoying life GREATER than ever!!! He makes sure to always take breaks on recreational substances as to prevent from re-attaching the monkey to his back!!! Haha But that is getting off subject so therefor swim is going to go get some work done FINALLY!!!

swim knows this is kinda old but swim just took 60mg adderall, emptied the capsules under his tongue, and they are melting at the moment. about 2 hours ago he took 60mg crushed between two spoons and swallowd the powder. he hasn't got too much effect, although he has been IVing heroin. anyways the adderall still did something but swim wants to see what happens now. he will report back.
