Swim just thought he would try to put an end to this myth. Swim in his early days of drug using would come across people who were uneducated when it came to drug use.. They would often try and double the price for the yellow xanax bars because they claimed they were 3 or 4 mgs. Needless to say swim does not associate with these people anymore.. As he started to only hang out with people who make statements of factual and verifiable information.

Yes swim slowly made the transition to people who knew more about drugs to people who do not use drugs but study the field.

Swim is confused because he is currently popping 2mg yellow alprazolam bars, and resides in the US.

However, Swim has heard of less than honest people who would somehow claim to have 3mg "green bars", that were alprazolam. Swim now knows they were a crazy dopefiend at the time just wanting money.

There is a pill that very much looks like a xanax(alprazolam) bar but is yellow.This is probably where the myth stems from.Swim doesn't remember the name of the drug but it is a non benzodiazepine anxiolytic that is susposed to be non habit forming.One time a guy swim knew got prescribed them and tried to tell swim that they were xanax(alprazolam).The name of the drug starts with a b,I'm sure someone knows what swim is talking about.

it's called buspirone...and it's totally useless to the avid seeker of forgetfulness, from what i understand. -DICK

Do not forget these guys. Swim has never seen them for sale.. but has herd of them being for sale. But they were sold under the proper name. 3mg time release. They seem to be more rare than alprazolam bars.. but they are not bars they are more like round pills.

google for it you will be able to pull it up.

Sorry about that link swim pulled it with in 10 minutes... Swim did a google images search and found it that way.. swim had no idea that it was a link to some shady site until he read the link and had posted it... he must of removed it shortly after a moderator saw it.. sorry

I think there are bars from a foreign pharmacy that look yellowish.

As for Xanax XR (or Xanax Retard, lol), the ones my eel encountered were small round tablets, not bars.

Edit: I see that the picture is of similar pills. However, remove that link NOW! Download the picture and attach it to the post if you want to display it. You will get an infraction if that isn't taken down within the next ten minutes.

yep. There is now a US-made alprazolam extended-release...

but i've also seen this same concept in foreign meds as well (i believe there was an indian form of alprazolam that is time-released, and i want to say that it preceded the Xanax's ER)

they have an odd "R" looking symbol on one side some refer to as a jesus fish.

alprazolam, but not stronger than 2 mg.

Those taste absolutely horrific, the worst alprazolam 2mg's to snort. Brand name is so much more tasty and smooth.

They almost feel weaker too. Not how sure they are.

There are 3mg extended released alprazolam, but they are not bars, but little green pills. Saw them in my PDR.

Never seen a green bar.

Dava pharm. does manufacture a 2mg green bar, and purpac makes a 2mg yellow bar.

I have not found any manufacturer that produces any tablet in excess of 2mg in the shape of a bar (which the pharmaceutical companies list as a rectangle shape).

Considering the percentage of the population that would actually be prescribed any single non time-release dosage greater than 2mg, I doubt it would be profitable for a company to produce anything greater than 2mg. The 2mg tablets were produced for the already small % of the population prescribed higher than usual doses of alprazolam. Not to say that no one would ever produce a 3mg instant-release tablet, just that it does not seem likely in the US. SWIM was once prescribed 2.5mg "hydrocodone/APAP" tablets, which at that time she did not know existed and in all of the city, only one pharmacy had this particular dosage in stock. Perhaps in some other country where alprazolam is sold OTC, there might be more demand for a 3mg tablet, however if so, SWIM has not heard of.

Plus, if a bar was produced which contained 3.0 mg, scored the way the normal bars are, then each individual section would contain 0.75 mg alprazolam (or 1.33 mg if it were a 4mg bar) which just doesn't really make any sense, in consideration of the normal dosage units of 0.25, 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0.

the green bars swim has seen are divided into 3 sections, not 4 as is usual.

Swim once spent a semester in Belgium. He was violently robbed while in Belgium. He was diagnosed with ptsd and was prescribed 2.5mg lorazepam waivers in Belgium. He then came back and was told by the united states dr that "only europe has nifty halfs". And was prescribed 1mg tablets. Just thought it was a funny story. And pretained to above post.
