Re: Opiates VS Alcohol on the liver

Swim doesn't really have much to contribute, other than Swim has a friend that's been doing opes with apap in them for like 3 years, and doesn't generally have liver problems unless he drinks hard liqour, then he gets pain in his liver. Maybe that means alcohol is worse? idk!

curious to see more thread contributions, though.

Re: Opiates VS Alcohol on the liver

As far as SWIM knows, opiates do not tax the liver. It's the apap attached to pharms, and the junk in the junk that would cause liver problems. An opie on it's own will probably never hurt a SWIMMERs liver as long as it's not packaged with apap.

Yeah, exactly, but some of the most abused opiates are those which contain moderate to high amounts of apap (vicodin, lortab, percocet, tylenol 3s and 4s, etccc).
