Arthritis due to long term opiate use?

SWIM has had really terrible joint pain pretty much every day for the past 2 1/2 years and is only 24. SWIM has been addicted to oxycontin, heroin, methadone, dilaudid, etc for the past 9 yrs. Any correlation? Any other SWIY's have these kind of problems?
