speed and alcohol - drunk?

Hey guys,
The other day swim was wondering whether or not one bomb of speed would stop him getting drunk later, what do you think?

Re: speed and alcohol - drunk?

Not really, swiy can still get drunk as hell, but he won't lose coordination as much, he won't slur as bad, basically it's alot harder to tell the person is drunk....Yes, it will take swiy more alcohol to get as drunk, but Swim has done this many times, although swim perfers weed, it creates synergy with the meth alot better.

Re: speed and alcohol - drunk?

Most folks can't get drunk on Speed (at least good speed); a nice buzz can be obtained from the alcohol but the coordination and speech usually aren't impared. If you've ever witnessed someone consume an enormous amount of alcohol and not get drunk it may be a good indication that they're also using speed. Folks in the Bar buisness have been aware of these facts for years.

swim used to get drunk on speed, but it took ages. the alcohol only seemed to hit on the comedown. she has never drunk so much alcohol in her life, than when on speed.

Sameria is learning how to SWIM.
Re: speed and alcohol - drunk?

SWIM's friends regularly consume amphetamine on a night they know they will be drinking excessively (drinking games etc.). SWIM doesn't like the idea of doing this, particularly after seeing his friends the day after!

It's quite a sight to witness a drinking game where only some of the people taking part in it have consumed speed. SWIM's friends like to cheat by taking speed and not telling the other players

Re: speed and alcohol - drunk?

Before SWIY gets legless, SWIY would notice the drowsiness normally. Amphetamines will block out all the sedation. SWIY could drink alot of alcohol and get a good buzz but it's easy to go too far and end up very dizzy and sick without even feeling properly drunk.

Once they both wear off, big comedown. If anything drink LESS alcohol

Re: speed and alcohol - drunk?

Aye, SWIM's seen her mate do it, it's a pleasant combination especially with cigs as well, the urge to ingest booze and fags is matched only by the pleasure in doing so. The alcohol buzz is like the initial buzz of say 3 pints [or whatever it takes to get SWIYs target initial drunk feelin] but the speed allows SWIM to maintain that pleasant level of drunk without it escalating to any slurring/co-ordination troubles that might usually be expected with the same amount of booze. Expect your monkey to talk bollocks non-stop, all night. Muchos fun

That is so true! SWIM ended up going up to one of his college tutors in a festival and talking complete bollocks to him as he was trying to mix one of the the bands.

Re: speed and alcohol - drunk?

swim has found amphetamines block out many of the effects of alcohol, like previous posters have said. Swim will have some of the effects, like inhibition, but will not have others, like poor coordination and word slurring etc. Swim will still vomit at the correct time if swim consumes too much alcohol, but swim will not really feel all that drunk until swim has already drank too much.

Re: speed and alcohol - drunk?

SWIM found that to be a fun combo, but difficult to control after enough consumption. Killer hangovers too, the kind where you can barely perform simple tasks like going to the store to get more liquor, making apologetic phone calls, finding your socks, spackling holes in the wall, etc.

Re: speed and alcohol - drunk?

perception is altered differently than alcohol alone so even though swim isn't drunk his judgment and and reflexes are no doubt affected. To an observer and even to swim it may seem as though he is sober.

Re: speed and alcohol - drunk?

ya it is possible to get drunk in SWIMs experiences after bumping a few 30s of adderall....although SWIM will b in a room full of people and have to problem being the only one talking for HOURS and HOURS. the alcohol doesnt seem to hit SWIM but when it does it is baaadd. also just the combination of not eating while speeding can make the effects greater becuz of the empty stomach in SWIMs experiences

Re: speed and alcohol - drunk?

indeed...the effects of adderall(speed) can be intensified due to the supressed appetite that accompanies the drug.

SWIM can't imagine the appetite supression effecting the amphetamines, unless you are talking about re-dosing. By the time the appetite supression hits you all the amphetamines in your stomach will be well and truly in your system.

Re: speed and alcohol - drunk?

most who take it for the euphoric effects are taking more than the 20 or 30 prescribed dosage...the effects, especially when insuflatted are exponential...and the supressed appetite can take effect almost immediately.

SWIM beg's to differ. It still takes time for the speed to have an effect, even when insuffilated (although the time is greatly reduced). SWIM and most of his friends recognise appetite supression around 15-20 mins after ingesting.
