Effects - Is there a limit to how coked up you can get?

Swim was thinking, when you are sniffing away on a good old coke binge does it get to a point when swiy cant actually get any higher, sort of reaching a plateau when any additional lines taken are a waste because they no longer have an effect or does swiy think as far as high goes, you can only go up?!any thoughts on this....can you really only get so high?

smurf finds he gets to the level of where it just makes ur heart beat more intensely & in a worrying way. smurf thinks when you properly wired there is no higher than that. same as xtc. it just goes on longer, not higher.

Swim is on a mission to stay off of coke for a while, but he always found that after a certain point he couldn't get more blown like sylenth said. He took lines to just keep feeling normal really..

a very high accute dose can obviously cause an OD so the limit is obviously the amount that your body can absorb without failling.

over time, the brain fights the DAT antagonism by limiting dopamine production, increasing MAO levels, downregulating receptors and further DNA transcription. In the end one has permenant neuroplastic adaptations.

swim once stayed up for 3 days and at the 3rd night heart was beating so fast that no matter how fast he breathed his blood was still needing more o2 because of the speed his heart was going...very scary!!

It's definitely like that for swim. On coke nights at her friend's house, the first few lines are amazing. Then the next few are great, the next few are good, and after a while, she's doing it just for the sake of doing it. After a little more than an hour or an hour and a half of regular lines (every twenty minutes), the effect is mostly lost. Which sucks when swim wants to have "a crazy coke night" running from 8pm-the wee hours, but eh, guess it's good way NOT to become addicted? :P

yeah it does just last longer, almost like a plateau and then youre just liek blah why cant i sleep im trapped in my body

SWIM doesn't know coke, but when smoking crack SWIM just knew there must be a limit! Well, SWIM found it - like chain smoking cigs - SWIM got drunk-like off 3-$20 rocks back to back. SWIM stopped. Then on one occassion SWIM & ex BF got a real good 8ball from dealer and BF loaded about a $30 rock and SWIM hit it good and hard (always trying to test out SWIM's limit, dumbass). The room went black and SWIM couldn't lift head for 10 minutes, that's a limit SWIM never wants to reach again.

Swim's friend, a Swedish model, was snorting ritalin off and on over a 24 hour period and then she got a nights rest. Went to work that next day, and when go home was given about 1/4-1/2 gram of coke. First time in his life he fealt his heart beat very fast in Scary , uncomfortable way.

If I were him I'd drop all the shit, but he'll be back at it. He's going to research this pain in the chest/heart. Onetime he said he had heart pains from stress and no little sleep for weeks 'cause of job pressures. The doc said it was chest muscles, not the heart.

There are limits on how coked up SWIY can get and for how long since neurotransmitters eventually deplete causing tachyphylaxis which means that after several doses effects start to diminish and eventually no more effect is obtained, this kind of tolerance occurs with cocaine, (meth)amphetamine and many other substances in the short-term, usually hours.

Large doses can induce life-threatening overdoses; although the dose varies between individuals and some people can die of a heart attack or stroke while using their normal dose, trying to get as coked up as possible is playing with SWIY life.

One thing exclusive to cocaine is its ceiling effect; although tolerance to its stimulant effects develops quickly tolerance to its local anesthetic action has not been scientifically established, at high doses this effect becomes very dangerous; among the effects that a toxic dose of a local anesthetic can cause are: convulsions, coma, cardiac arrhythmias that may lead to cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest and death; these effects occur at a fixed dose for each individual but its better not find it.

SWIM can talk from experience of being an IV user and chasing the greatest possible flash and it’s something he really warns against; many cokeheads die or have been really close to that way.

Yah, swiy will have seizures and die if swiy does a lot of coke in a small period of time.

swim notices he doesnt like to get any higher once swim feels like his heart is numb and chest too for that matter, that is usually swims indication to slow down.

In SWIM's experience, he finds that once he gets high and wants to either keep it going strong or get even higher, if he does a line too quickly after doing the previous line, it seems to be too much. This is usually after he has done 5-7 lines over a couple hours and has been high for a little, not at the start of a session. He can usually do two lines in a row in the beginning but later underestimates how high (at least how his heart and such) are. He may not be as high as he would like but his organs and insides is where he underestimates or doesn't think of. He knows this because he will do the line and almost immediately start sweating (everywhere, not just normal sweating from blow), his stomach will feel like its going to purge, and either has to poop or feels like he may. He also feels like if he doesn't eat something immediately, he will throw up. Once he eats something (usually a piece of bread or anything close really), it eases up and isn't bad. He finds this all unpleasant and usually grabs some bread, something to drink, and heads to the bathroom in case he does throw up or does have to poop (since it feels as if both may happen). Once he eats the bread and sits on the toilet for a bit (5-10mins tops), it goes away. In most cases, he will take a dump and also take his shirt off because he is very hot and sweating very badly, a fan blowing is heavenly in these cases. He hasn't thrown up yet but it feels like it, until the food is down. He checked his pulse one time when this happened to make sure his heart wasn't going too fast to cause a heart attack and to check to make sure it wasn't skipping any beats. It was very high but nothing worse than what happens when SWIY works out hard. So SWIM thinks there is a limit, even if SWIY wants to get higher than SWIY is, SWIY may not be able to because of physical restrictions. This of course all depends on SWIY's body, SWIY's tolerance, SWIY's size, SWIY's pre-existing conditions (relating to SWIY's circulatory and respiratory systems, or anything that blow affects SWIM says), and lastly the quality of SWIY's product and what exactly is in it (it could be cut with other stimulants that SWIY wouldn't even know were in it (it's always good to acetone wash if SWIY has the time and will power to not get into it before SWIY can wash it ). If this happens to SWIY, SWIY will know it and its a good time to take a good 30-45min break from SWIY's next line. Chances are if this happens SWIY won't want to do another all too quick because it can be scary and the effects aren't something SWIY want to happen again on purpose. Sorry about the long post, SWIM is enjoying a different stimulant that he uses when cravings come to curb them until the next binge.

All in all, yes SWIM does think there is a limit, at least physically, from his experience. When SWIY reaches this limit and goes over it, SWIY will know and should stop. Chances are SWIY will not OD if SWIY stops once you get the above symptoms, but the above symptoms are probably considered a slight OD and should not be taken lightly. SWIM does not look at getting high on coke and getting high on weed the same thing. Weed is something SWIM can do and usually not reach SWIM's highest point before passing out (depending on the quality of the product). Coke is like almost every drug, not just in its classification but all drugs in general, there is a limit for every person and once you cross the limit of what SWIY's body can take, it can become very dangerous. SWIM cannot think of another drug besides weed that SWIY can do (speaking alone and not mixed with other drugs) and be 99.9% certain, he will not OD. If SWIY are using cocaine and mixing other drugs with it, it changes that limit much more - that limit decreasing much faster especially depending on what is being used and how much. If SWIY must mix coke and other drugs (actually, any combo of any drugs that SWIY uses) PLEASE read up on the dangers, what to expect and how much is normally taken and always take small amount until SWIY knows how to correctly dose SWIY drugs. SWIM's post has gone maybe a little too far from just answering the question but it's a situation that SWIY may encounter and you just MIGHT remember this post and know some things that will help SWIY. SWIM answered the question plus gave some other safety info, not the worst rant ever SWIM guesses.
