.."Unfortunately this is not a hoax!!! There is someone putting ground up glass shards in the bud to make it weigh more. I've seen it first hand and have even viewed it through a microscope.


BE CAREFUL OF WHAT YOU BUY AND KNOW WHERE IT'S COMING FROM!!!....
....After doing some research online, it seems this has been a recent epidemic in the UK. People have been going to the hospital coughing up blood and numerous other adverse health effects. It's much worse than fiberglass insulation, and I'd imagine it could cause lung cancer pretty easily.


If you've come in contact with any contaminated marijuana, you should have your lungs and throat check out by a doctor!....
....People will always smoke pot because it's a wonderful medicine. This is just another sickening example of the harmful marijuana prohibition is. It's because of such harsh laws this drug is forced into the black market where it's obviously not regulated. Now we've got some greedy asshole once again putting profit before people.

....This particular bud was being sold under the generic name "BC Bud"....
....The first noticeable thing is the size of the bag, a 1/4 oz. looks like an 1/8, as the glass adds a lot of weight.

....Secondly, after handling the bud there's a sandy or gritty feeling on your fingers.

....Besides that there's almost no way to detect it by eye. Even held under a light and carefully inspected, the glass particles appear to be resin glands, they're even the same color.

....The best way to detect it is to put everything through a grinder. When opening there's a strange puff cloud of glass dust that goes into the air. The glass will immediately sift through the screen as it is granular and dry, not sticky. When sifted the glass moves strangely, like sand in an hour glass.

....The massive amount of glass in the photo was collected in only 2 grams of pot.

This is quite common in the uk from what i hear:

In Europe, there is currently an epidemic of marijuana cut with Taiwanese roadmarking materials, and ground-up glass, silica and sugar. In some areas of France and the United Kingdom, it is difficult to get marijuana that has not been cut with these substances. (March 2007) The health effects of smoking these substances is not yet known, but the French government's health ministry has issued an official warning and has a telephone hotline for people who do use this marijuana, recommending them to see their doctor and have their throat and lungs checked. In at least two proven cases, people using this adulterated marijuana have been hospitalized with serious respiratory disease symptoms such as coughing up blood.

It could but what i think is much more likely is someone is selling mid grade pot ass BC kind bud after making it all pretty with the broken glass.

Weird,what part of the world are you from(just the genearl area,no need for details) Ive been aproached by drug dealors in my area before that incorectly assumed that i was one who used drugs for recreatinal purposes,everything ive seen called BC bud was decent stuff.

USA, Pacific northwest is where swim is from,

bc bud is called bc bud in my area for the low-med grade bud that comes from canada or a semi bad homegrown strain that u would think was bc bud

anyways though, swim has always found weed/weed dealers to be the most reliable and trust worthy as far as dealers go.

swim has never been ripped off buying weed before, but know lots who have gotten bad ecstasy, coke (baking soda) etc..

You really can't see any contamination with the naked eye, but if you use a grinder you'll be able to tell immediately. Under a microscope at 150x you can see it plain as day, looks like pieces of a shattered window. It's not round or square like sugar or salt, but jagged shards.

For those living in areas of the UK and New England concerned about possible health issues, swim would like to suggest cleaning swiy's cannibinoids.

Swipurplehaze, while a joint or bong could avoid this problem, many cannabis users swim knows in the USA use a pipe for convenience purposes, and swim would imagine particulate matter simply bouncing on down the tube and into ones lung.

A simple 99% isopropanol extraction run through a good filter could leave an ape with all the CBD and THC in his marijuana without running the risks of inhaling these contaminants. Perhaps not as enjoyable a smoking experience, but quite possibly worth it for safety purposes.

So grit weed has hit the US. That is seriously fucked up. SWIM can't tell you how much he hates that shit. Luckily it seems to have cleared up where SWIM comes from in the UK, mainly he suspects because of the dealers got so much shit from all the angry smokers.

After a while everyone started to find ways round it. Hash made a short comeback, everyone was asking for benzos, K became massive. The days of grit, though, were bitter ones. Let the dealers know that you're not going to buy that crap.
