friend found out his mom grows it

my friend recently found out that his mom has some salvia sitting on the front porch. So he clipped some off and used his bowl (usually smokes weed) to smoke it. Will he get a trip off of it? What part should he clip off and smoke? How can he extract it? He thanks you all for answers

Re: friend found out his mom grows it

SAGE is the common term for the genus salvia. Swiys mother probably is growing one of hundreds of different species which are probably not hallucinogenic.

So he will probably not trip off of it, and growing sally D outdoors seems to be difficult and the conditions have to be pretty regulated. Since Salvia Divinorum doesn't seed very well and wont flower after being fully established from a cutting it is probably not the choice of the average gardener

Re: friend found out his mom grows it

you can buy salvia plants at almost any garden store. but getting salvia divinorum at a store is nearly impossible. sure it's savlia, but not hallucenogenic.

Re: friend found out his mom grows it

Just to re-iterate every common variety of salvia found at a local garden store will not be hallucinogenic. There are very few strains which have any psychoactive effect. I remember Alfa was compiling a list of psychoactive genus. I'll find it.

Salvia Divinorum, Salvia Splendens, Salvia Venulosa were the genuses I found in the forum already listed.

Re: friend found out his mom grows it

The most used Salvia plant is not psychoactive: Salvia officinalis. It is widely used and commonly referred to as 'Salvia' or 'Sage'. The popularity of Salvia divinorum in the recent years and likely the lazyness of drug users has caused the same name to be used for this plant.

here are some other members of the Salvia genus to give you an idea:

Salvia aethiopis L.
Salvia amissa Epling
Salvia apiana Jepson
Salvia argentea L.
Salvia arizonica Gray
Salvia azurea Michx.
Salvia ballotiflora Benth.
Salvia X bernardina Parish
Salvia blogdettii Chapm.
Salvia brandegeei Munz
Salvia carduacea Benth.

Salvia urticifolia L.
Salvia vaseyi Parish
Salvia verbenacea L.
Salvia verticillata L.
Salvia vinacea Woot. & Standl.
... and dozens more.

So long story short: do not smoke that. it is highly unlikely that your friends mum grows salvia divinorum. Please note that Salvia is normally not fun.

Please come back when you are 18.
