I have heard many myths about easy to obtain, and mostly legal drugs that you can buy at your local grocery store.

Can someone separate fact from fiction?

What are some easy to obtain highs?

besides for the usual medicine box or cupboard that is in most homes. hmmm. well all those swey mentioned wont get one high that's for sure.

onions can give a intense rush if one rubs them in your eye...

it's widely known banana peels definitley do not work

Someone apparently rubbed toothpaste all over an orange peel and let sit for a couple of weeks in jail.

The effects reported sounded similar to LSD. Although, I think he was locked up for too long, and you would probably just get a stomach ache... at the most.

I've heard of smoking coffee grounds.
Nutmeg IS confirmed a last resort drug.

everything you listed is bullshit myths with the exception of nutmug.
nutmug acts as a delieriant but has some awful side effects- dry mouth, pounding headache, racing heart, various body aches.

if they in the house & can make a person high then the government would have probably had them banned already & not available as a food type. keep thinking though it is interesting.

Some of the guys over in the Opium and Poppy forum say they can make an extract out of poppy seeds, but SWIM would say surely it's better to order poppy heads and make a proper tea out of them.

These are okay, but not what I was looking for. Most of these are not found in common households.

most people have cough syrup, and benadryl. but all of the other ones exept for sleeping pills, and possibly whip cream (if you're just buying one can, it's pretty obvious) can easily be purchased at most grocery stores. but some stores you need to be 18 to buy tussin, since people have cought on, but if you get a younger worker, they could care less. But that's about it.
