Nosebleed after *oral* Adderall use?

So SWIM has been using Adderall for about a year and a half- about an average of probably two times a week, each time taking an average of probably 90mgs. And SWIM only takes it orally. But in the past four or five months, SWIM has been getting nosebleeds on the days SWIM takes the Adderall, around the time when SWIM is coming down. It doesn't happen every time, but it happens often enough, and there is clearly a correlation. Also, the nosebleeds aren't really bad, they're easily stopped with a napkin.

Does anyone know why this could be?

Re: Nosebleed after *oral* Adderall use?

Hypertension has been known to cause nose bleeds.. stimulants increase blood pressure making this a very plausible explanation. If swiy is just taking them orally.

Even orally its possible to notice more frequent nose bleeds than usual. Make sure to keep yourself hydrated and this well help.

Re: Nosebleed after *oral* Adderall use?

yes, this is very likely due to an UNSAFE increase in blood pressure

(Spayre change said the exact same thing, but his term was Hypertension...just to make sure that everyone knows what this word means)

If you're getting your adderall from your physician, then he/she should be checking your blood pressure. If you're getting it from somewhere else, then it sounds like you need to see your doc, or AT LEAST go to the drug store and check your blood pressure & heart rate. preferably after taking your medicine.

Just imagine if that vessel that keeps popping in your nose were located somewhere inside your head...this is very possible. it is called a hemmoragic stroke...you could die from a stroke or become paralyzed, etc. not something worth risking IMO.
