Effects - Percs-Desperate, Euphoria Gone

Swim has been eating Percs 10mg, 4 times a day, for 3 years now prescribed for recurring pain. At firrst the 10mg produced a nice feeling and a little more gave swim ephoria. Now all swim gets out of a dose up to 30mg and all points in between, is sleepy. Swim has tried tums and grapefruit juice with no improvement. Swim really misses the good feeling and wants it it back. Any suggestions you have will be appreciated. Swim is reluctant to try other products as swim has a reliable and dependable source of Percs, at least for now. There has to be more Swims out there who've had this problem and hopefully solved it. Please share with this Swim.

the reason you no longer get the same euphoria is because you've gotten yourself a tolerance. the only way around that is too...

a) take more percocet which is not advisable...for obvious reasons...

or

b) stop taking them for a brief period and allow your tolerance to disintegrate

From what SWIM has read on this forum and elsewhere, it is not uncommon for even the most hardcore of heroin addicts to halt their usage for a week or two to get their tolerance down so they don't have to use large amounts to get high anymore.

Practically any opiate addict will tell you this is easier said than done but bringing the tolerance down is the best (if not "healthiest") way to get the euphoria back.

Taking 6 percocet at once is not recommended. APAP is quite dangerous and toxic at high doses. If swiy plans on continuing their use of percocet at such doses, swim suggests reading up on CWE immediately.

Taking a break is certainly a better way to regain that euphoria (and maybe a little perspective on what life is like without the oxycodone buffer).

If swim goes from 10mg Perc 4 times a day to 5mg Perc 4 times a day will that bring swim's tolerance down and if so, how long do you estimate it will take. Swim wishes he never discoverd Percs euphoric side and just felt pain relief. IT has taken over his life. And he still wants it.

Swim does not use more than once a week, and has been doing so for about a year now, but on and off randomly, and is starting to lose the euphoria from tramadol almost completely. He also says codeine is less euphoric too.

Swim is going to have some hydrocodone tonight, and hopes he can get the euphoria he wants and has come to expect.

Swim hates psychological tolerance. Swim is so very careful to keep physical tolerance down, but his brain is getting used to the drugs over time. Boo brain!

tolerance is one of those tricky things to deal with....i have come to accept that regardless of how long i stop for....i will NEVER get the same buzz i used to get from opiates.

there was a time when 3 lousy 5mg percs would get me high as a kite...now i can munch 40mg oxys like flenstone vitamins and still barely feel anything

Yes, it sucks so much Swim says.

He used to take 20mg hydrocodone and be fucked, and he just took 50mg and is kinda like "What? Wheres the euphoria?"

It feels like 15mg, if even. Grr.
