Oral use - Putting meth into capsules

Swim heard of some people around here doing this. Swim hasn't done it personally but is curious as to whats going on. They say it's like a completely different mindset. They're not new to meth but now they're doing crazy shit like stealing generators right in front of people and smashing windows.

My friend is thinking it has something to do with the liver since it's going through their stomach and not straight into the bloodstream like other ways of doing meth.

Has anyone heard of this?

Your friends' doing of this crazy shit has nothing to do with the method of administration, simply the nature of a powerful amphetamine.

This is a good point, we often forget that the substance is what alters people, not the mrthod of administration.

Methamphetamine (and other amphetamines) is the only family of drugs that can, and will with prolonged use, cause the sanest, most level-headed person to become psychotic. It's specific to this class of drugs. If someone uses meth frequently, they will go nuts. This is the drug of choice of Adolph Hitler, whose doctor injected him every morning and whenever Adolph wanted him to.

Where did you get those figures from? Got the numbers for H?

Second question:
Do they mean X percent reach the bloodstream (seems so, IV=100%), or X percent reach the brain? These are different, in case of oral (and the part of nasal that drips down instead of getting absorbed) it get 'filtered' in the liver (first-pass metabolism).
Once it's in the blood it still must pass the BBB (blood-brain barrier). Some otherwise active substances are not good at that (straight PEA, loperamid...) and nearly inactive, e.g. the higher potency of (H) diacetylmorphine vs. morphine is a result of the higher lipophilicy (sp?), i.e. it passes the BBB easier.

So what is it?

DXM is known to cause psychotic breaks also.

Cocaine and other stimulants are also very capable of driving one insane.

Ingesting Methamphetamine via a capsule is something like playing with a Jack in the Box. When it comes on, it comes on strong, and all at once. If the person ingesting the substance has low or no tolerance for this substance already, the initial onset of the effects of Methamphetamine (MA, from here on out) may be "overwhelming" to say the least.

ummm no, taking "MA" orally is the safest and also in swims opinion, the weakest method of ingestion. The high tends to be milder and smoother, but also longer in duration.

If anything, smoking, or injecting would be a great deal more overwhelming, since the onset of euphoria and the rush is rather quick. Hell, even snorting would be much more effective if your mom's pomeranian was trying to get somewhat of an "overwhelming" effect.

If your mom's pomeranian insists on taking methamphetamine orally, don't have him put it in a capsule. He can parachute it with a rolling paper, piece of toilet paper, or a kleenex. Quicker onset, duh. Tell him to be careful making it with his shaky paws, pieces of meth seems to always end up flying across the room.
