Dose - Water and dosage (CWE)

My Dalek has experience with a dozen or more CWE's but he was still unsure of how much water he should put into a glass for best results.

Dalek uses approx 10 pills 8/500's in two glasses. He uses approx 170ml per glass or just over. He dont like using too much water because he knows he has to drink the whole lot afterwards which is time consuming and messy generally. He also uses 10 pills per glass because he thinks he may not get all the codeine out if he uses much more.

Its hard to put into words what he was asking but. Should you use lots of water to make sure the codeine has every chance to be disolved?
Or
Not so much water. Using less water one could imagine its easier to freeze and to filter, but swim was unsure if the codeine would make it through the filter with less water and it would all be stuck down with the acap.

Obviously when dalek says not so much water he dont mean a few drops he means just enough to submerge the volume of the powder. Hopefully that made some sense.

If it didnt could swiy tell this dalek how they may do there extractions with regards to water and amount of pills they use.

swim doesn't really know. play around with it a little, swim's curious to see the results. but swim usually uses around 10-16oz, or how ever big a water bottle is

well swim would say one glass is enough, he also prefers "more" water for higher yield but, if swiy checks the solubilty values in the cwe faq 1 glass of water for that amount is already a LOT

In all the info on cold water extraction ive never gotten a definite answer on how much water should be used. The majority of the info is based on using low codeine content pills(like 8mg) but what about something like T3's?

When you say 'a glass' outriderx its hard to judge what you mean. Glasses come in all shapes and sizes! but your input is appreciated.

To comment on your point gametime my little dalek once usedSolpadol (co-codamol/T3's what ever you fancy calling them.) They were 30/500's and he finds they disolve in water automatically and do not need crushing, while most people who use T3's are probley aware of this my dalek was pleasently suprised as he's used to crushing 8/500's.

What my dalek told me was that swiy wouldnt need a large amount of water for T3's as there designed to be ingested through water so you wouldnt need to drink glasses and glasses of water or have to worry about mixing them (or so he believes). As opposed to crushing pills ...

Which leaves far much more acap in the glass. Swim doubts any issues with using loads of water its just a pain if you dislike the taste!

The only question my dalek would like to have answered is it best to use excessive amounts of water (purely for dissolveing) or minimal amounts?

depends on what SWIY wants to have: security or a tiny bit more codeine.. if the latter, use minimum amounts and filter a few times, the former use a glass (like 200-400ml, shapes dont really matter), swim prefers the first

an old codeine freak priest told swim this:
if using 8/500 the quickest and best way is to just get say for talks sakes
100 tabs: 2ml per tab = 200mlof water,
heat water in a glass jar to 35c in the microwave (with lid off),
dump tabs in whole put lid on jar and shake like fuck for 15 min,
stick in the freezer till its nice and cold 4-5c (about 25-30min) while waiting for it to cool,
set up five doubled up wet coffee filters in five funnels over beakers, jars, cups or what ever you have one hand,
then place five peaces of wet old cotton shirt into filters fasten with rubber bands
pour in the cold solution equal amounts in each filter leave them sit for one to two hours (till water has drained off)
then take the rubber bands off the peaces of shirt get the corners together and start to twist and squeeze any remaining water out of the shirt and apap mass into the coffee filters,
then squeeze the filters this will give you as good a yield as your gonna get
the beauty of this method is you get more or less all the water out and are left with hard balls of apap in the cotton shirt with no risk of the filters breaking.
perhaps more water is needed for 30/500 but for easy access of 8/500 in the uk they come in 32 packs and there cheap as fuck tree packs gets you about 750mg of codeine for the under the price of 20 smokes.
170ml is far to much water for 20 8/500 your gonna end up with extra apap in your end product stick with 2 or 3 ml per tab it works just as good.

SWIM used to use 75ml for 20 500/8 and resently started using 100ml and got much better results, approximately 15% improvement in yield...

SWIY really uses 100ml or less - My Dalek is a little suprised! - Im sure he'll try the advice given here sooner or later he appreciates it. He really likes the idea of shaking the mixture about before freezing. Little things like this entertain him
