storing Research Chemicals in gatorade

Does any swim know if something like 5 meo mipt, 2c-i or e will degrade in Gatorade faster than say just in powder form in the freezer.

Re: storing rcs in gatorade

yes, everything will degrade faster in gatorade than in the freezer.

Plus its very dangerous to store it that way, what if someone didn't know and found the bottle and drank it all?

Think about it, thats like having a bomb sitting there. Mark it well!!!!

Re: storing rcs in gatorade

swim lives alone and would mark it of course with symbols internationally recognized as poison symbols.

Re: storing rcs in gatorade

Why not just in ethanol or dH2O?

Re: storing rcs in gatorade

Yes in vodka in the freezer would be the best way to store as a liquid. Bacteria and mold can grow in gatorade but not vodka.

Get a decent scale and do it right. If you can't get a highly accurate one then just divide out a larger portion and put it in vodka then store the rest of it as powder.

Re: storing rcs in gatorade

Panthers007 has enlightened us with a story of how bongo stumbled upon a stash of sandoz LSD-25 in a bottle of dark rum that was in the back of some lucky patrons freezer, it had lost little to no potency after sitting there for many, many years.

2c-i and 2c-e are notoriously stable halogenated phenethylamines and have a very long shelf life, Storing them in the freezer will likely be a very good way to ensure they stay pure over years of time. Gatorade; not so much.

5-MeO-MiPT has the ability to oxidize over time, swim kept his in a tupperware container in the refrigerator and it has slowly started to turn from it's original off-white powder to a darker and more 'rusty' looking powder due to aging. Swims lab-cats say the potency is said to be affected only slightly and takes maybe a milligram or two more than they are used to to achieve the full effect.

Swim would say that if one is truely worried about his/her chemicals that they should be either stored in an airtight container in the freezer with some dessicant (some of those tryptamines are very hydroscopic thus making the dessicant useful, but for the 2c chemicals, this is not needed so much) or dissolved in a good amount of ethonal or some other high-proof alchohal like dark rum or vodka.

Re: storing rcs in gatorade

The salts and sugars in Gatorade surely wouldn't be a good thing. SWIM concurs with Samadhi about the oxidation of MIPTs and DIPTs.

If one were to evaporate materials several times, how much loss would one expect?
