Last night SWIM was on one hit of acid with 3 of his friends.
only SWIM was high on acid, the rest were just stoned on weed. They were just blazing outside, joint after joint, getting higher and higher. Then all of a sudden like at about 1 or 2am night, they hear these sounds. It sounded like howling and screaming, literally as if like 100 people were beating a pack of dogs to death. It sounded both the yelping/howling of dogs and screaming of people. maybe SWIM was too twisted, but that sound just literally shook SWIM to the core of his mind and soul. it was the most painful, agonising, brutal sound he've ever heard in life.. and a deep within his mind and spirit, a meaning was just echoing loud... "suffering" Even thinking of that sound now creeps SWIM deeply. The rest 3 friends heard that sound too and were pretty shocked by it. One of them said that he hears those sounds in forest once a while. Then things got a little too serious for SWIM, going in and out of various levels of consciousness, SWIM closed his eyes and got these really intense, profound visions of beings and deities part human part animal figures, alien type of beings, as if they were performing some sort of ritual of birth and death, sacrificing. |

Re: Howling/screaming sounds
smurf has had swimmers freaking out before believing that we were being watched by people in a open field across our house. to clear any ones minds from freaking out & creating a atmosphere smurf said lets go check & see. there was no one there.
next time maybe go check to see where it's coming from. maybe it's really dogs been beaten by someone or maybe not. perhaps it was & the animal anti cruelty could of been called to report the situation & save the animals. smurf can understand if one is tripping one would'nt want to see or come across some thing hectic. a bit of a catch 22 situation. it's gonna then remain one of those unanswered mysteries. Re: Howling/screaming sounds
For some reason, SWIM thinks it probably wasn't someone 'actually' beating up dogs..
It was more of a collective single sound. morphing from howling/yelping then to screaming in deep pain. As if it was a strange primordial 'language' that SWIM understood that was smeared all over his mind. to further emphasize on the feel of that sound, it almost sounded like a tormented soul trying to break free from the confined of this physical world. and SWIM certainly doesn't think anyone would even want to go inside that thick dense forest, or have went in there.. |

Re: Howling/screaming sounds
very interesting. i am into all these possibilities. must of been quite a rough experience, i can only imagine. thanx 4 sharing & adding to the possibility of other life forces be it happy or not or 'inner demons' like alot of what the ayahuasca experience is based on.

Re: Howling/screaming sounds
When young SWIM first started smoking weed, he and his friends would do it in very random places. For example, in a cal-de-sac of an unbuilt neighborhood, in the woods, at a park, etc. Lots of places that are outside. On at least 10 occasions, SWIM and his toking buddies heard howling/screaming that sounded like no animal they've ever heard. SWIM thought he was imagining it until his friends confirmed it was there. Eventually, they nicknamed this creature "Dragonhog" because it sounded like a hog squealing and also a dragon roaring at the same time. It was always the same noise and it only occurred at night when they were in a very low populated area. Never attempted to explain what it was, but it's strange to think about.
Looking back, I can almost guarantee it was an animal we've all probably seen before. But marijuana is a hell of a drug, especially when you first discover it. |

Re: Howling/screaming sounds
Raccoons used to make an ungodly din in the forest at night where I used to live. This was done as part of their mating-rituals. They drove a neighbor of mine up the wall and out of the house at 2:00am - and then he'd start screaming back at them. I wonder if the female raccoon was impressed enough by his performance to put out for him.

Re: Howling/screaming sounds
Didn't think foxes could be this tame. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3uJM...eature=related
They can make awful noises as well tho. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBizG7bhVMs&feature=user What we heard was much nastier than any I can find, it did sound like a animal suffering in a lot of pain. |

Re: Howling/screaming sounds heard while tripping
We have a family of foxes in our back garden and quite often they argue over food. The noises they produce sound like they are being tortured by a pack of mutant, crying babies!

Re: Howling/screaming sounds heard while tripping
Dude that sounds just like Coyotes. Sounds like a bunch of babies screaming right? Thats the sound a bunch of Coyotes make. The first time I heard it, it scared the shit out of me too. Its really a disturbing sound, but once you familiarize yourself with it than you realize that its just Coyotes. Trust me dude I live in the backwoods of Arkansas. You say you hear these noises only at night in unpopulated areas. Their Coyotes. I hear them all the time just outside of my house.

Swim has heard really weird ,slow, electric guitars playing for hours before. It was really weird, the music was not right, it was just wrong and evil.

Re: Howling/screaming sounds heard while tripping
In one of my dreams, I lived in this house that was kind of creepy to trip in. And every time I dreamed of tripping there, I would hear these strange noises. I often thought about aliens and other life forms in the universe, and this sounded a lot like what you would expect a space ship to sound like as it landed on Earth.
These dreams started to become rather disturbing, and a couple of times, that sound triggered the beginnings of delusions of invasions and shit... So during one of these dreams, I decided I'd had enough and decided to go investigate... And you know what happened? It was the fucking cars going by on the damn road!
