same opiate withdrawals..new perspective

swim has recently come to the conclusion that even mild opiate withdrawal is a bitch.. its not even that bad, but it is horrible when there is nothing to do but sit there and think about it. not even thinking about using, just thinking about the unpleasantness of it all. Swim noticed yesterday as he arrived in a hotel in amsterdam, euphoric about the whole situation, he was long passed his usual dose that would keep him feelin okay..

swim hates the feeling of being woken up in the morning by this unpleasant body sensation that seems overwhelming..but i guess what swim is trying to say is that it ISNT overwhelming..a lot of it is in swims head.. if only he could forget about time for 2 days..

swim cant wait to get home to his sweet supply.

time to relieve these symptoms. swim is such a procrastinator with withdrawal..or maybe thats just called an addiction..or..love who knows

W!SE added 5 Minutes and 29 Seconds later...

btw..swim is talking about oxycodone (roxy no time release) and knows this belongs in the opiate addiction..but was about to use at the time after giving in to a snorting microscopic piece of his diminishing supply so he put it here.

thanks. any opinions? please dont post any remedies as swim has read/tried them all. except DXM but swim is not trying to destroy his love/need for the drug..just wants to feel gooddd

Re: same opiate WD..new perspective

ok swim took his last dose over 22 hours and feels greattt as he just exercised at hotel gym. he learned that when he starts feeling icky, he gets the bath water running and the intial "dip" into the hot water produces something similar to the instant wd relief he gets when snorting a small amount of oxycodone.

swim has been using min 30mg - max 80mg/day for the last 4-5 months for the first time consistantly. has always eaten well and exercised 2-3 times a week + skateboarding 3 hours or so a every other day.. he likes to think he has it under control and does it more for the love than the need.

he tapered down to a week b4 an overseas trip and was clean and then a few days b4 the trip he used again (it literally fell into his lap, quite a story)

at 22 or so hours opiate free, swim knows the worst is still to come but has gotten past the part of wanting to use/taper a little more (swim is a procrastinator) .

he read somewhere that a person who uses less mg/day but has been using for a longer time their withdrawal will be equally as bad/worse than a non-habitual user with a higher dose.. how true is this?

swim feels it is possible that since he tapered down to such a smallll amount that maybe this IS the worst of it..

comments pleeease
