Dose - just arrived in Amsterdam

SWIM was euphoric as he sat down in a shop and bought a bag. he then took a brownie to go and ate half this morning at the hotel..

anyone have any experience with these? one would suppose the onset would be like mushrooms-- 30min to an hour and a half

help!no rush though. SWIM will be around for a lil as he is just now giving into mild opiate withdrawal and insufflating a microscopic piece for relief. Hot baths can only do so much

A word to the wise: go easy on brownies. They can hit real hard. Tell SWIY not to mix drugs. Cannabis is very different than the quality often found in the states.
The time line of brownies is correct. 1 - 1.5 hours to come up.

I must agree with Alfa: Go very easy in eating pot brownies. They can get a SWIM much, MUCH higher than expected. SWIM is encouraged to eat a small amount before they find the 'sweet-spot.' SWIM can't take it back.

And please be aware that eating cannabis, in whatever form/food or may be in (raw cannabis won't work) is more like LSD than smoking a joint. It can be truly astounding to SWIM.

uh yeah...SWIM wishes that he'd seen these warnings about 7-8 years ago! He remembers sitting on his couch, trying to listen to a conversation b/n 2 friends...but instead, all he remembers is EXTREME PARANOIA!! Was way too messed-up to even follow ANYTHING that was being said by the 2 other friends...all his mind could interpret from the raw sound was something like this:

"THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT YOU!! LISTEN!! THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT YOU!!!"

It was very unsettling to say the very least...

I don't see why not.

If you have a low tolerance (used to smoking cannabis of lesser quality) or no tolerance (haven't been smoking at all), the cannabis in the Netherlands could be overpowering, especially as you may be tempted to go for broke.

You can get the feeling that you are "too high" anywhere, so why not a place where high quality cannabis is available?

Smoking a quantity of cannabis appropriate to your level of tolerance and the intensity of effects desired seems like a far brighter idea than trying to smoke as much cannabis as possible. More enjoyable and costs less.

Quantity isn't everything. Far from it.

Agreed. Bigger is not always better, especially with drugs. Most drugs have a sweet spot, somewhere between not enough and much too much. Taking or smoking an appropriate dose for your tolerance and level of experience usually results in a much more pleasant and useful experience. Moderation is a sign of maturity.

However, I can just imagine getting back into the united states from being in amsterdam and being like "I should of done more.."

Phaze has never reached his limit on which he is too high on cannabis. He has been so high, that he watched peoples mouth move from them talkin and heard nothing for a full 3 seconds later, and even then he couldn't make it out. He has put his shoes on the wrong foot etc. super stoned.

But some people have a limit that seems unreachable for phaze. He would have to agree to not go without of the tolerance level from what he has seen. He always enjoys his cannabis experiences, whereas he has seen others not have such a good time, turning green, cold etc.

Phaze says have fun with it, some of the best buds in the world. No point/need in overdoing.

Phaze has never been to amsterdam. The first time he goes he is going to smoke slap out. Phaze is just being honest, he couldn't resist just getting completely blown out of his mind on some high grade amsterdam bud.

That wouldn't even be something for him to tell when he got back to U.S.

That would just be a accomplishment, kinda like a lawyer buys a rolex. It would mean more to him than it would telling in a story to his friends.
