Injecting - In the eye... this is BS, right?

SWIM has heard from a few people(one of them a drugs worker) that 'know' someone who injects in the eye... now as an RN and a femoral(groin) injector SWIM doesn't see how this is possible or even feasable(or preferable to other methods).

SWIM googled it and nothing.

SWIM is intrigued... but thinks that this is like when SWIM doing steroids ages ago and heard about the guy who injected in the ass... in the spincter even though it was agony and it swole up and he could'nt shit, had to goto hospital and have crazy amounts of laxitive so they could shit fine enough(as this person thought by injecting in the ass this is what you do)... very funny but urban myth(SWIM hopes).


Anyone else heard of this? or know if it's even possible as SWIM does'nt really see it(no pun intended) even though SWIM knows that every organ has a venous supply.

William Burroughs mentions this in one of his novels, but that doesn't necessarily lend any truth to it. There's some line about a street friend of his who was completely blind from frequently shooting up in his eyes.
