Combinations - Can Cannabis save a failed trip?

So my cat has been experimenting with several substances lately: Mescaline, LSA, shooms, Amanitas. And he's a bigger kitty so often the 'starter doses' that he was advised to take aren't quite enough. But he still likes to play it safe so he takes the suggested doses anyways.

After a solid 2 hours during which he feels almost nothing he did what anybody would do: he pulled out his bowl and decided to smoke some cannabis instead. And after about 20 mins. in all three cases my cat started tripping balls. It wasn't very vivid or forceful but there were all sorts of subtle visuals and strange thoughts that my cat has never had on just weed. The experiences also lasted around 10 hours, which is clearly much much longer than the best Cannabis experience he's had. Plus there was a sort of energy that he never gets with just Cannabis. He was running around the house cleaning things and talking to himself all night. And the next night he slept like a baby.

He's repeated his experiment with a couple of his friends (without telling them what he expected to happen) and they tripped both times.

My Cat: Sorry, it must not have been enough. Let's smoke instead.

Does anyone else know what this synergistic cannabis experience is called or why it happens (so far its worked with every psychadelic he's tried)?

it deff works with SWIM also, marijuana seems to be the big red button in my opinion with other psychadelics.

The following may or may not be supported by evidence and could just be personal opinion.

Marijuana is a drug like no other. It is also the safest and most non-toxic psychoactive substance of many. It does not readily fall into any class of drugs, be it stimulants, sedatives, or hallucinogens. It is quite compatible with a number of others drugs as well.

Thus, I think it has the potential to curb any high, give it another dimension so to speak, in a safe and interesting way, and this is what your cat experienced.
