blocked needle?

Hi hope SWIMs are all good today

My taxi driver is has been experiencing more problems when attempting to shoot up. She tells me that she manages to find the vein no problem there. The blood comes into the barrel and then she pushes the plunger down and - nothing . It won't budge. This has happened to her so many times now shes starting to think that she has thick blood or something . Its such a waste of gear as well she tells me.
She knows that all the problems are just not worth it and is planning her detox for this weekend. Hoping to get some Dihydrocodeine and Lofexidine (Britlofex) for this very purpose as no access to Subs or Meth. But until then................she needs SWIYs advice. WTF is going on here?? Apprieciate SWIYs time and comments

Re: blocked needle?

it could be that the needle has jammed....this has only happened to SWIM a couple of times and when it did, it would happen when SWIM didn't mix the heroin enough and some of the cut was left and blocked the rig or when he didn't have anything to filter the heroin with and when trying to get it into the needle, this created a blockage

Re: blocked needle?

Is SWIY filtering it thoroughly and using a fresh needle each time (including after failed attempts)?

Tried using a different vein?

Re: blocked needle?

My taxi driver believes she is doing everything correctly. She tells me it has occurred in many veins. The quality of the brown has not been great of the last few weeks and it has on occassion solidified inside the rig. She says it sometimes looks like cooking fat when she is knocking the bubbles out. She always filters and always uses a new rig when trying again.
SWIM read on other posts before that ones own blood can clog the needle or perhaps a particle of skin or something.
What was said about mixing the gear could maybe be a factor as my taxi driver is fearful of wastage if she burns the mix for too long. It seems strange as it has happened to her so many times now and to others only a few times

Re: blocked needle?

Would the short time it's in the vein be long enough for the blood to clog the needle?

Re: blocked needle?

SWIM doesn't think that the blood has enough time to coagulate in the short amount of time it takes to register to injection....now if the mix is saved for a period, of time, this could be true

Re: blocked needle?

My fiend has came across the same shite, it is solidifying in the syringe, in fact he has a clogged up syringe right now with about half a bag in it and will probably end up throwing it out, pure waste of money. He doesn't know what the fuck it is but he doesn't like it one bit and he will not inject this shite. He has noticed that this shit is quite light in colour, almost grey but he is fairly certain it is not heroin 4 because it doesn't dissolve in water alone. This gear seems to leave a lot of residue on the spoon as well which resembles the solid shit that appears in the syringe. He was getting a 16th every fortnight until a few weeks ago when the last batch he got was this shite that solidified, he ended up giving half of it back while the other half was pretty much wasted and clogged up about 8 tools.

This was the last stuff he got until the other day when someone phoned him asking where he could score, he said he had no idea and there seems to be some sort of dry up. Eventually the guy went to the city centre (apparently) so my fiend got a bag off him which turned out to be pretty much the same stuff, it looks like this shit is going about maybe because of a dry up.

If the tool is getting clogged then it probably will be because of this shit, my fiend think it would be better smoked until it is possible to find some decent stuff that won't solidify. I don't know what's going on with the gear around here but my fiend is glad he is staying away from it on the whole. I suppose some people don't have much of a choice though but i don't think this stuff should be injected at all, there is no telling what could happen in the blood. My fiend tells me he heard one person say inject it quickly while it is still hot, well FUCK that, there is no way he will be doing that! In fact if anything run the syringe under cold water to see if it is going to solidify, my fiend says that it just shouldn't be doing this and he thinks injecting this shit warm or hot could be dangerous.

Re: blocked needle?

Injecting it hot is DEFINITELY a bad idea. Even if it goes gooey when heated, that in no way makes it any more soluble. I'm sure it's the last thing you want solidifying in your heart.

Swims cat got a good four weeks of the stuff, swims cat only smokes, and it took a lot to get it sorted, its flooded the uk, not good stuff. Its also dry in devon, as it hasn't rained in some time. but the rain is back as of today, and not that white shite

tell your taxi driver to smoke it, if thats all she can get, as it cant be good to slam that, if it does that in the works, whats it doing in your vains!
