Dose - OC Issue

SWIM has done many opiates in the past (oxycodone, hydrocodone, codeine, ultram) but at the moment has absolutely no tolerance to opiates.

SWIM has just come across 80mg OxyContin pills and I know a 40mg dose would be overwhelming for SWIM (SWIM is sensitive to opiates). Even a 20mg might be too high.

How can SWIM measure out a dose without wasting his 45$?

crush it up and divide it into 8 parts this should give you an idea of what you are taking... but swim does not know if this will guarantee that you will be getting 10mgs.. its just a estimation.

80s are big enough to safely chop into 1/4s....

25mg might be overwhelming but it wont kill you or anything....expect an intense nod tho

Should SWIM chop it up before or after removing the coating?

One 80mg is something like 16 percocets worth of oxycodone so how should SWIM store the pill between uses (the two SWIM is getting should last quite some time).

SWIY should chop it up after removing the coating...SWIY can store the pill after its chopped up in powder form

SWIY could try and dissolve the pill into a known amount of water. For example if SWIY fully dissolves the 80 mg pill into 40 mL of water then SWIY would know that every 1 mL of water contains 2 mg of oxycodone.

Oral syringes used for dosing medicine to infants/toddlers might be useful.
