Extraction - My opium won't "smoke" or bubble

Greetings to all SWIYs

IronMan recently tried to make some "flake-opium" from dried poppy pods. They are small-medium sized and he has already got good effects from those in a tea form. However, that tea gave him strong stomachaches, so he searched about a way to get some kind of opium, which he found on this same exact site
He was amazed.
He tried doing the extraction yesterday, and left it to evaporate with his oven at approximately 60C during the night.
The next morning he looked and saw all the water had evaporated successfully.
The "stuff" he got looked a bit like what resin would look to him. He scraped it up as good as he could, and got a little ball that looked approximately like the results posted on this same forum. A bit dark amber/brown of a color. It is very sticky.

He then proceeded to try his new result. He had never tried smoking opium before, nor had he tried to chase the dragon (using heroin).


After reading about it on some websites, IronMan placed a pea-sized part of his "stuff" and gently cooked it with his lighter, so that it would become soft. He then placed it on the external part of a 3" x 5" little part of foil (in a V shape...) he had burned so that it would be completely black (to get whatever protection there was out) then wiped with a clean Kleenex.

He lighted a candle, got very excited, placed the straw in his mouth and approached the foil from the fire. The foil turned black again but IronMan, being courageous, didn't care. He let it sit under the fire for a while and some smoke came out(very little smoke), which IronMan almost completely caught with his straw. (without any bubbling !)
The smoking then stopped. IronMan waited 5 minutes with the foil under high heat without anything else coming out, so he decided it was time to look at what was wrong.
The foil was hot. That, he learned pretty damn violently.
The under of the "stuff" had blackened, and turned very hard. while the upper part seemed okay, and didn't even bubble.

Did the extraction go completely wrong on IronMan or did he fail to smoke it correctly ?

What filter methods did Ironman use? The trick is to get all the plant crap out of resin otherwise it doesn't smoke well.

See the "filtration using silks" thread in this forum for filter details. The filtration is vital to these processes.

The upside is that the resin can be eaten and is much less likely to give stomach problems.
