using flexeril to help sleep

My friend has been awake for 3 days. This is the 4th night so almost 4 days. He took a flexeril to help him sleep. Is this ok to do?

Re: using flexeril to help sleep

Swim uses flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) now and then for sleep. A simple 10mg pill can honestly knock swim out. Definitely the strongest of the muscle relaxers that swim has used (as far as sedating is concerned).

Re: using flexeril to help sleep

Ok one more question. He says his lungs hurt a little and it feels like his lungs can't hold as much air as they used to. He keeps trying to yawn but can't fit enough air in his lungs, like something is in there taking up space.

Oh yeah he was smoking it. He's smoked it about 6 or 7 times now, each a few months apart.

Re: using flexeril to help sleep

Swim certainly hasn't tried smoking it, although he did let it fly up his nostrils a few times. In short: it burns (just an FYI).

Swim gets these periods every now and then when he is trying to yawn and can't seem to breathe deeply enough to 'get it outta the system.'
However, since he's never smoked cyclobenzaprine, he's totally incapable of knowing if the effects are linked.
This swimmer isn't of much help, in his honest, humble opinion.

Re: using flexeril to help sleep

swim advices your friend to stop doing what he is doing asap. Having trouble breathing is bad... Swim hopes hes not smoking flexiril.
