ultimate anxiety reducing/sedating cocktail

swim is trying to find the ultimate cocktail for reducing anxiety, sedating and possible opioid withdrawal. swim is thinking along the lines of:

2mg - 4mg clonazepam (if for opioid withdrawal)
grapefruit juice (for possible clonazepam potentiation and possibly for the drink itself)
Phenibut 3 grams (?)
GABA 1 gram
Kava Kava 4 grams
Valerian root 5-10 grams
possibly Kanna
Kratom 10 grams (if for opioid withdrawal)
L Theanine

what do swiys think of this? normally swim has to take about 4- 6mg clonazepam to get really good anxiolytic and somewhat sedating effects but swim figures the other stuff might do good. is this realistic? swim thinks this would be the best possible remedy for swims symtoms? what would others do differently? swim needs some input asap. thanks.

btw this will definately be for opioid withdrawal. swim realizes remedies have been talked about before but swim was wondering about his.

Re: ultimate anxiety reducing/sedating cocktail

Swiy should remember that clonazepam is more potent at lower dosages than valium. Swim is looking at the benzo equivalence chart and it would appear that .25mg of clonazepam is comperable to 5mg diazepam (http://www.mental-health-today.com/rx/benzo.htm). Therefore if swiy normally take 4mg clonazepam, something like 80mgs valium should do it for swiy.

Rereading all this, it seems like that is way too high a valium dose to non tolerant benzo users so swim is not sure how reliable the table really is.

http://www.benzo.org.uk/bzequiv.htm This table gives the same info basically.

Yea that 80mg is overkill and the table is actually pretty accurate.

Re: ultimate anxiety reducing/sedating cocktail

Your rabbit's coctail seems a little like overkill to swim. GFJ will indeed potentiate benzodiazepines including clonazepam, its well documented, so simply a lower dose of clonazepam+GFJ would probably have an equal anxiolytic effect to your rabbit's normal clonazepam dose. GFJ+clonazepam can increase blood concentrations to potentially dangerous levels fairly easily.

Kava kava as well is a CNS depressant to some degree. For my rat, kava greatly increases the effect of a benzodiazepine, almost always resulting in a rapid trip to bed. (usually a cozy one at that)

Swim can't imagine the combination of kava+benzo+GFJ not being effective enough on its own, quite possibly too effective, resulting in an overly depressed central nervous system.

Adding kratom to this could cause some unpleasant nausea, and put a lab animal in danger, but if a low enough dose of the others were used it might be alright and help in a withdrawl situation.

Phenibut is just unnecessary, there's really no point, from swims understanding it is simply a depressant and has no recreational and very little anxiolytic value.

In general, its best to keep the number of substances in a combination to a minimum as much as possible, especially when experimenting with enzyme inhibition potentiation.

Kanna+kratom is EXTREMELY ill advised. A small amount of kanna, less than a gram of the powdered cactus, in combination with kratom, resulted in a truly horrific experience for my rat. He was throwing up, shivering, and in general just felt like he was going to die. Easily one of the worst drug experiences in his little rat life.

Tell that rabbit to be careful, two substances which seem fairly benign on their own won't necessarily be benign together.

Re: ultimate anxiety reducing/sedating cocktail

Swim's opinion is that combining multiple drugs rarely gets the desired effect. Swim personally would find one drug that really worked the best with the fewest negatives.

Swim says taking GABA is completely worthless, never found any use except panic attack from an overdose. Bad.

He tries combining TONS of various potentiators with multiple drug types, and only about 1 out of every 50 times does it work and actually boost the drug.

Swim would personally combine something like alprazolam, 1- 1.5mg, some marijuana, and a small amount of heroin or hydrocodone. Swim does not recommend this however. Maybe minus the opiate tail.

Edit: If for opiate withdrawal, Swim would use low dose of something like Kratom or low dose or some pharmaceutical opiate. Swim hears good things of using nonrecreational opiates for W/D, including loperamide.

Re: ultimate anxiety reducing/sedating cocktail

My friend Steve has anxiety disorder. Last night he got high as hell just from weed and he was fine. He was in a bunch of situations in which he would normally get a panic attack (including a cop trying to stop him and his friends and then them running into a corn field until the heat died down).

I've read once that psychadelics were sometimes used to treat addictions so that might help with withdrawal? Something like ketamine or lsd. Just throwing it out there, not advising it.

Tea gives a nice calming effect. If you are having a panic attack, a small bit of alprazolam will help (small bit as in .5mg).

The list you have there is definitely overkill. I bet it will do more harm than good.

Re: ultimate anxiety reducing/sedating cocktail

SWIM also thinks that SWIY is going over the top with this combo.

SWIM understands that SWIY is searching for the best possible anxyolytic combo, but if SWIY thinks about it with a good enough dosage of clonazepam SWIY has anxiety relief.

SWIM thinks the point is to have anxiety relief with no drowsiness add to this a happy energetic feeling and it would be all good right?

Phenibut+Clonazepam Clonazepam potentiates Gaba in phenibut.
Phenibut+little Ritalin Ritalin potentiates dopamine in Phenibut
Little kratom for a good opiod feeling? maybe

Happy feeling? SWIM tried a while ago that somewhat famous anti depressant (even if it does not exist in U.S.A - online orders only) SWIM does not remember the name, but is the only SSRI that "pushes" seretonin out from neuron connections instead of holding it there.
